Can we talk about the fact that he played the attacking left wing and not the left back? Interesting. Made a couple of well-struck passes to open guys in the box who failed to do anything with them.
Him playing left wing might have had more to do with the scoreline at the time... but did have a couple of decent crosses and a great diagonal thru ball. He also took the last two corners which was pretty cool. Decent showing IMO.
Armenia are going to be behind most of the time for the rest of the season. Bello’s proven he can make a significant contribution on offense off the bench. Let’s hope he gets 2+ starts by the end of the season.

Bello not out of place physically. Confident, but positioning and understanding of what’s going on needs work. Really didn’t react well enough on the goal. Announcer pointed out how team didn’t react to well, but it was Bello’s area on left, and he stayed in the center of the box after a corner or free kick. It was a nice pass to beat him, but he had time to make a decision and do more. Player who got pass had all of the time in the world and set up goal. Hazard is giving him a movement lesson. Poor pass on decent AB break also. Looked a lot like the Atlanta player which makes you think something is there, but is there? Kid has a lot to learn on D. Better be a quick study.

There are unquestionably going to be ‘teachable’ moments for the kid this season and next. He just turned 20 less than 2 months ago. Huge leap up in quality of league. He had no pre-season with the club. All things considered, this transfer is going great so far. They are giving him opportunities and as long as team can manage to stay in the BL (a big ‘if’), Bello is well positioned to excel next season.
