Re: The Official Genoa Thread give Genoa credit, they've opened the cheque book to bring in Leon in midfield from Reggina and now Di Vaio. I make the them the favorite for the second auto-promotion spot behind Juve, ahead of Napoli...tho I would hate to see their owner in A.
Re: The Official Genoa Thread Hopefully Bologna progresses. Since Beppe Signori was with them, I've had an interest in them. Why don't you want to see Genoa's owner in A? Is he like Moggi?
Re: The Official Genoa Thread Remember when Genoa was relegated to C1 for match-fixing two seasons ago? They were first in Serie B and Serse Cosmi was the coach. They thought they were promoted but then the telephone calls were found from the owner Preziosi. He fixed the last game with Venezia, which was stupid because they would've been promoted anyway.
Re: The Official Genoa Thread Yeah, I remember. Torino also had to stay in Serie B because they were bankrupt.
Re: The Official Genoa Thread yes this is the reason for me to be anti-genoa, tho I think they've constructed a good side now that'll get to A next yr.
Re: The Official Genoa Thread yeah their side looks good but it just seems like they bought a shit load of people watch they will get penalized for insufficient funds or something
Re: The Official Genoa Thread Genoa win the Viareggio tournament 2-1 over Roma. As much as I dislike Genoa, I cant help but be thrilled that Fernando Forestieri has chosen Italy over Argentina. I even read in La Gazzetta the other day that Preziosi had found Fernando's father a job so they seem to be well suited in Italy which hopefully leads the talented youngster to stay with the Azzurri. I cant wait to see him develop

Re: The Official Genoa Thread bovo, matteo paro, papa waigo, borriello and others. I will be interested to see how some of those players can do, especially bovo and paro. also will forestieri be on the first squad? or will he stay in the primavera next year? my guess would be the primavera, but i'm not sure
