If FIFA were forced to sell the World Cup then surely the buyer would want to carry on international football?

They would but they might not be anyone to enforce fhe regulations covering the relationship between the international and club game. So things might very messy.

But where is it coming from? I'm struggling to find any articles that link the case to the possibility of FIFA selling the World Cup.

I'd seen loads of news about it, and was expecting it to be awful and then watched it and it was just a 15 second diversion that didn't really matter.

It wasn't great, and he shouldn't have done it - but it hardly ruined the interview. Mountain out of a molehill

Southgate may not return to coaching. I wonder if he'll return to the FA in a different role. A director of football or something like that. Say what you like about him as a coach he comes across as a real good guy.

DAZN win the rights for the Club World Cup and will show every match. And no subscription required - all matches free.

Says it all. TV companies can’t even invest in it because they don’t think it will bring them enough new subscribers. DAZN get the rights but know few would be prepared to pay for it.

I have a feeling Man City will end up winning the league again come May.

The Premier League has clinched a $560million (around £439million) TV agreement for three countries in the Far East that runs until the next decade - once again underlining the huge interest in England's top division overseas. (The Times)

I presume that tweet was about Dan Ashworth quitting Manchester United? I wonder what has really happened there.

Looks like we’ve fully inherited Arsenal’s old crown as top banter club, evidenced by the decline of AFTV and the rise of Mark Goldbridge.

This must be personal, not sure that he would’ve had much to do with the terrible summer window. De Ligt must be one of the most overrated players in the modern era and Zirkzee is just pretty rubbish. Even this Yoro lad, you’re wondering where the big hype came from.

It's very weird. Really doesn't give a good impression. It's hard to like much of what INEOS have done so far.

INEOS are ********ing clueless. Sacked 100s of backroom staff to save money. But spend millions on compo on sacking Ten hag and compo to Newcastle for Ashworth and now he's gone. No wonder they're having to put ticket prices up.At this rate the man Utd fans will want the Glazers back.

Its the snobbery of there fans that gets me. Turning there noses up at Southgate and Branthwaite but the people they've brought in are not any better.

They might have quickly realised that Ashworth is an emperor’s new clothes type deal. You have to question his track record in certain instances anyway. Left with big question marks around him after his England role.

Southgate would have been a disaster at Man Utd as far as I’m concerned.

The fans would have gone into meltdown if they'd signed Southgate and would have had no chance to make a go of it.

Thought about adding this to the U17 thread since we’ve been talking about this subject but don’t want to derail the thread so thought I’d add it here:

I honestly just don’t get people these days, imagine going to football games with a sole purpose to throw objects at players. I mean Spurs fans are probably working people who probably earn decent money to afford their tickets so you would presume a vast majority are educated. I mean do these people think it’s acceptable if they are walking down the street and people start throwing things at them and their families. Honestly this sort of behaviour just blows my mind!

If Daniel Levy sacks Ange, where does he even go from here? Spurs have tried every single type of manager; there isn't a different direction left to go in. At what point does Levy look at himself?
