It reads to me as "it's so unfair". If that's going to be their appeal argument then the hearing won't last long.
What I don’t get from this whole thing is the argument that the manager didn’t realise they were doing anything wrong since it’s the done thing on the continent. I mean in Europe they have a lot more open training sessions where basically anyone can go and watch so if he didn’t think there was anything wrong, why was the spy hiding discreetly behind a tree and other reports of dressing up in other teams training clothes to blend in. That doesn’t scream, it’s just the normal thing to do imo.

Seems to be mainly ex-pros looking for clicks rather than people with an understanding of the process. Lets see what everyone thinks when the full findings come out BREAKING Southampton have had their appeal against expulsion from the play offs REJECTED. The correct decision. I’m told when the EFL release their written reasons for the punishment the evidence is expected to be damning #utb #saintfc https://t.co/3VL8nFIJqH— Luke Edwards (@LukeEdwardsTele) May 20, 2026
Thrilled for Villa. They deserve a big trophy for how good they've been in the last few years. Europa League is the biggest of the realistic trophies for them.
PL sides have brushed aside Bundesliga teams so convincingly in Europe this year, think Chelsea losing to the Bayern in the group stage was the only loss.
He’s been on the bench most matches in the EL so it’s not as weird as Conor Gallagher in 2019 being on the bench for Chelsea only for the final. Ross Barkley got a medal as well and he hasn’t been eligible since January. And he was dressed in full kit to collect it.
I'm thinking more about the disaster that this loan move has been for him and he ends up with a winners medal.
Think this is a better explanation of the new format….. The top 36 from the Nations League will be in League 1 and in three groups of 12.Based on the last Nations League, it could look like this.Logically, the top four countries in each group would qualify automatically for the finals. 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th could enter playoffs. pic.twitter.com/BgTEMi4ECX— Dale Johnson (@DaleJohnsonBBC) May 21, 2026
England could have 6 champions league teams again next season and I can see it happening. As villa go to city and Liverpool are at home to Brentford i can see Liverpool winning and villa losing
There is a fair argument that things are becoming too uneven now with the strength of the Premier League in terms of depth. Do we think that Freiberg are even at Premier League level? I think they'd get relegated if that team was in the PL.
Were people not saying the same in the 90s with Serie A? You had prime Hagi playing for Brescia, and teams like Parma were loaded with talent.
There record signing is 10 million Euros, not sure what that’s the equivalent to in England but must be similar to low end/mid Championship Clubs.
True and in the Messi/Ronaldo era the La Liga was at an insane level. With the new formats in European football now it seems placed for near total English domination in the 2nd and 3rd competitions.
