I’m going to presume they have some sort of clause in the contracts of the managers that say they don’t need to pay out compensation if sacked? Must have wasted so much money if there was I would imagine.

Hearts come from behind to beat Rangers, and pretty much eliminate them from the title race.
They're 3 points clear of Celtic, with a +5 advantage on goal difference.
Their remaining fixtures - Motherwell, Falkirk, and, on the last day of the season, Celtic away.

Would be good for their league if Hearts win.

No Prem or top flight players & injuries but don't think they will be doing much in the next cycle or two. The big talent introduction is Jaden Umeh (2008) at Benfica.

A third of that squad is of Nigerian/Ghanian background, I wonder if Nigeria tries going after Umeh, they'd be silly not to, given Ireland don't often qualify for World Cups they may have a shot.

Their midfield options are comically bad right now.

Nigeria seem all over the place themselves these days. Badly underachieving so good even more reason to look you imagine.

Recently there was an outcry over the kid born in Ireland to a Nigerian mother who debuted for the Rugby Union team. Edwin Edogbo. They go over and asylum seek. Imagine it will be more prevalent in football but supposedly he wasn't Irish enough to some.

This Ireland/Israel match has possible consequences for Euro 2028. If Ireland do boycott it or safety issues/ behaviour cause trouble then they will be considerable debate here in England about if we can still co host with them. We saw from the Aston Villa match how issues linked to this can become a big political issue. Ditto the Scotland women v Israel women match next month which still doesn’t seem to have been given the final go ahead! (Even more so because Scotland is not an independent country).

How is that not a penalty? Seen far worse given in Europe this season.

I mean this game is one of the most obvious cases of corruption since that Barca - Chelsea game all those years ago.

If Bayern feel that angry could they try and get the PL/LA Liga +”7/# onside to quit UEFA and have a breakaway?

I mean what happened with the Mendes handball? Think they gave a foul against Bayern but never saw a replay on the Swedish coverage as why? Looked blatant yellow card and second one I think for Mendes.

I wouldn’t be giving a pen for any of these hand balls, but if you are giving the one against Davies, where he punts it at him from close range and it deflects off his leg, than this one is absolutely stone dead, I don’t care if it’s from his own players clearance.

Just seen the replay on that and there was a handball by the Bayern player in controlling the ball just before the Mendes incident.

Yeah. I don't think any of the three should have been given, but if you give the first two then the third has to be as well.

    Can't give it...

A handball offence is not committed when a player:

is hit on the hand/arm by the ball which has been played by a team-mate (unless the ball goes directly into the opponents’ goal or the player scores immediately afterwards, in which case a direct free kick is awarded to the other team)

    IFAB ruling.

Your not meant to give the ones that deflect either, and they always do.

    Sorry hit post too early.

I didn't agree with that decision but there are nuances to the deflection rule

They're are no nuances to the own teammate rule.

Not too long ago a big addition for Bayern and key squad player for Germany. I know it is injury, but they do seem to lose players younger than the other major nations.

Highest value German centre-backs according to Transfermarkt

    Does it feel strong ?
    1. Nico Schlotterbeck (1999) Dortmund €55m
    2. Malick Thiaw (2001) Newcastle 45m
    3. Yann Bisseck (2000) Inter Milan 40m
    4. Finn Jeltsch (2006) Stuttgart 30m
    5. Jonathan Tah (1996) Bayern 30m
    6. Karim Coulibaly (2007) Werder Bremen 22m
    7. Nnamdi Collins (2004) Frankfurt 20m (playing more RB)
    8. Waldemar Anton (1996) Dortmund 18m
    9. Robin Koch (1996) Frankfurt 15m
    10. Jeff Chabot (1998) Stuttgart 15m
    11. Thilo Kehrer (1996) Monaco 15m
    12. Antonio Rudiger (1993) Real Madrid 9m

This could get very interesting if we find out it's been going on for a while.
Leeds were fined £200k for a similar incident, but there were rules put in place after that to specifically ban spying.

What sort of punishment could Southampton be looking at if found guilty as presumably it’s going to be more than just a fine if they have added rules since the Leeds spying issue? I mean is it really worth the risk if getting caught means some quite severe punishment heading your way.
