The wage bill for that set of players is absolutely baffling. Even Risdale era Leeds would be baffled how they've ended up in this situation. All this after the owners already paid off 124m in debt. Hard to describe how badly they've been run after the helicopter crash.
Aye. We're 27 miles and world away from you big time Charlies up there at the end of the M65. Just missed out on the playoffs to go up to League One though, so we won't be competing with you again any time soon.
Talksport saying Iraola is a leading contender to replace Rosenior while the Telegraph is saying Chelsea like Nagelsman but he is not interested. Talksport also saying Chelsea like Howe and other possibilities include returns for Mourinho or Lampard or going for Edin Terzic, Francesco Farioli or Filipe Luis.
Other clubs have suffered monumental declines through sinister ownership and have fallen further than we have, but the thing about Venkeys is just how long it's gone on for. 16 years and still no end in sight. It's been such a slow death and that in itself is really tough. It just grinds you down.
Nah, you're not convincing anyone Horris mate True story though, l did once buy a nice little blue Rover coupe in Blackburn. Does this qualify me to ride on the coattails of your club's undoubted (comparative) success?
What you've been through with Oldham is as bad as it gets. Very pleased you're back on the ascent now. And yes, feel free to ride on our coattails. We're hardly overbooked!
The fact that a mediocre youngster like bardaji is on ahead of rashford Says all I need to know about what the Barcelona coach thinks of him
He has clocked up a mind boggling amount of gametime before his age. He's going to be not far shy of 200 appearances for club and country by the the time he turns 19 unless he gets injured. Bellingham, by way of comparison, who played an insane amount before 19 clocked up 149 appearances for club and country. Basically a full season of games difference despite Bellingham also beginning as a regular first team pro at 16.
And probably most people to be honest including myself. He’s just so hit and miss for me and his general ball retention isn’t good enough imo.
It’s a like for like sub, left footed right winger. Not sure it’s that surprising, has Rashford ever really played off the right hand side.
I think Gordon has to start. His pace stretches defences. I also think he works harder for the team than rashford
Barcelona have been utterly woeful at looking after their players too. Every time the season reaches this point they have a plethora of injuries and their players are out on their feet. It's part of the reason they've failed in the Champions League the last two seasons. They'll consistently play Yamal for 90 minutes agains bottom half La Liga teams on the weekend then ask him to go again in the UCL a few days later. They learned very little from the Pedri situation it seems.
Talksport reporting that Sunderland are considering sacking Regis Le Bris if they fail to qualify for Europe Most likely BS, but if it's not then it would be the most unrealistic expectation of a promoted team for as long as I can remember.
Manchester City are considering Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez as a midfield option this summer.City’s interest in the Argentina international is at an early stage and there are other midfield targets they are looking at, including Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, according to… pic.twitter.com/oXAP91oyo9— The Athletic | Football (@TheAthleticFC) April 23, 2026
The BbC has axed Football focus after 52 years. Partly replacing it with a lunchtime airing of Kelly Somers interview show. (Through still with the direct clash with the 12.30 kickoffs which has caused some of the viewing figure issues) Surprised it didn’t become a visualised podcast slot everyone else on TV is going down that route and the BBC have tons of Football podcasts that could do that.
The explosion in football related content online and the choice of Alex Scott as host have been the absolute killers for FF. We had Saturday lunchtime kick-offs well before then without it seriously impacting viewing figures.
Enzo Maresca is the leading candidate to take over at Manchester City as they prepare for the growing possibility of Pep Guardiola leaving at the end of the season. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...guardiola-does-quit-manchester-city-this-year
