Saw the last 15 mins to see Dowman but it was pretty painful to watch! Zero chances taken whatsoever and the football is so god damn turgid!
It's beyond satisfying to see Real Madrid lose in dramatic fashion like that in Europe after everything that's gone their way over the years.
Bellingham was far from poor. Kane wasn't at his best but he wasn't quiet either, had a few impactful moments with the ball. None of that even matters if he scores. He's a striker and that's what he's there to do.
Possibly. He might not be back to full sharpness after that injury he had during the int'l break either.
Just on the olise thing. At least it shows we can produce players like that. But in future not let other countries get all the benefits
What I didn't understand was arbeloa taking off trent when they needed a goal. Why take off your best deliverer of the ball
Found it on social media Rudiger incident slowed to 1/2 speed. Bonkers. pic.twitter.com/TckpEpufKL— Bavarian Football Works (@BavarianFBWorks) April 15, 2026
He’s always been a dirty bastard, but gets away with it because he does that stupid prancing run and the like.
He’s been in mine and my mates cnuts International eleven every single year without fail! Just a horrible, horrible player who is always up to dirty tricks!
Real Madrid's defence is shockingly bad. Courtois has kept them in the champions league numerous times in the past. They're completely exposed without him. Harry maguire would improve that defence. That's how bad they are
Arsenal created 0.08(xGOT) against Sporting CP tonight.— The xG Philosophy (@xGPhilosophy) April 15, 2026
Watching that last 15 mins all because of Dowman coming on was not worth it in the slightest and won’t be making that mistake again. Just watching Arteta constantly dancing about on the touch line shouting and screaming now makes sense why Arsenal players are scared to make mistakes and don’t try anything creative. They won’t get past Athletico unless they grow a pair and change things, just terrorist football.
Radio said he at least gave them some "front foot" impetus and wanted to carry the ball forward. so there's that. maybe he took their xG from 0.07 to 0.08?
It was dreadful. Sporting played their part though, even when the game was closing out they looked like they were playing for a draw.
Watching the game I could only think that Tuchel would be insane to start Rogers over him this summer.
Well on another note, he’s made in England so like most of our other wingers will likely be inconsistent over the next few years or get a bad injury. Seems to go with the territory….
It helpful for consistency if you go and play in an inferior league for a team that's clearly better than all the others. That's why I now want England players to sign for sides like Bayern, Barca, Real and PSG. The game is in no small part about confidence and going into tournaments with players flying, a la Kane right now is what we need.
Yeah that’s a good point, I don’t think someone like Lookman would have had the same trajectory if he had stayed in the Premier League playing for a mid level team. Similar reasons as to why I hope Rowe doesn’t come back and play in the Premier League, staying in Italy or going to Spain/Germany may be better for his development.
The BBC were talking about Rogers starting on the left instead of Rashford or Gordon with Bellingham in the 10.
When you say the BBC that was just one guy who mentioned those 3 players as LW option in one opinion piece, right?
Yeah. Does feel like something Tuchel might do - he seems to like Rogers perhaps even more than Rashford and Gordon.
