Garnacho I presume you’re talking about? Yeah I remember there was various rumours about teams being leaked when he was at Utd. Probably not a coincidence is it….
A lot of it was blamed on his brother who obviously gets the info from Alejandro. There was certainly the belief among the fans that Garnacho is bad news generally.
We have a feeling that @LASK_Official youngster Jacob Wanker might become quite popular in the UK 😄 pic.twitter.com/NfGylx1KmV— The Other Bundesliga (@OtherBundesliga) March 12, 2026 I know I shouldn’t want this because the poor lad would be crucified but please be a really good player that gets transfered to a Premier League Club. Everytime he gets the ball, the commentators will have to apologise about themselves using industrial language……
Gonna say this now, might come back to haunt me but I think I can see the way this Forest game is going against this Danish team. Forest just can’t score after pretty much dominating and you just know that over the two games the Danish team will sneak it by hardly having any chances but will be clinical and Forest aren’t.
There’s something seriously wrong with Premier League scouting! How can Clubs from around Europe get players who are worth peanuts while Premier League Clubs spend millions on players who are worse! I just don’t get it, maybe they need to hire amateur scouts from Denmark, Norway, Cyprus etc because there’s something wrong. How Forest haven’t got a decent striker who can out the ball in the back of the net with the money available just blows my mind. Didn’t see the Palace game but seems like they couldn’t beat a team from Cyprus……this week gets better and better for Premier League Clubs.
Good call. Think Palace seriously need to have a word with themselves too. They've basically lost 1-0 on aggregate from two home games against Larnaca. Shocking given how much money they've spent on their team.
I was not confident of English teams being successful in Europe this season. Clubs like Palace and Forest just aren’t used to taking the game to teams. The CL teams are too messy with what they are trying to do (bar Arsenal who are far from perfect). Palace in particular have had a horrendous European campaign. They are the only one I would say have been embarrassing. Best English hope is probably Villa but even they got the toughest draw possible.
My guess is the PL panics and tries to push for the League Cup to be abolished or Europe playing teams to be removed from it. Can see a push to go to 18 teams as well. Online predictably international football is being blamed.
Just the comments under posts about how it’s been a poor week for English teams - lots of random posters blaming international football and how that should be cut to reduce players tiredness
What? People blaming International football for this weeks diabolical performances? I find this really hard to believe, you have to show a link here otherwise I’m calling bs……
I feel the "winter break" debate coming on again in the Premier League. It’s obviously needed - even with expanded squads, elite players risk fatigue, less training time etc - but too many vested interests preventing it happening.— Henry Winter (@henrywinter) March 12, 2026 Many of the comments underneath.
That's a new level of dual recruiting escalation lol as Morocco have named Ebnoutalib in their provisional squad: He's scored in his first game for Frankfurt and has been injured ever since and still is! But securing a young promising striker will always be important for any nation I guess. Not too sure he was ever interested in playing for Germany anyway as he's only following Moroccan sports pages on his insta (and has been long before this provisional squad when he was still breaking scoring records in the 2. Bundesliga) but his father actually has represented Germany at the Olympics and won a silver medal for Germany in Taekwondo! There's also a young winger from Frankfurt on that list whose name I won't attempt to write down without looking it up who's eligible for Germany and Spain and has had some very promising cameos in the Bundesliga. These are only friendlies of course but it's very hard to make a U-turn on Morocco once you've accepted playing for their senior side.
Rabid dual national recruitment is a sustainable practice for them too. They've still got really high levels of emigration to European nations with strong football cultures. Very unlikely to slow down in the foreseeable future.
These same fans will complain and then rejoice at International football being shortened and then have the cheek to then complain that their grassroots football facilities are turgid or disappearing because the FA can no longer afford the upkeep!
And a Citizenship law that means it is not possible to effectively renounce Moroccan nationality if you are born with it. (That aspect could cause political issues through in Spain in the coming years). So they make sure as many of the diaspora as possible keep their Moroccan passport going.
Australia have lost Adrian Segecic to Croatia. Very big loss for them as he looks quite a talent. Played for Aus loads at youth level too. Only 21 and has looked very good (albeit patchy) in a fairly uninspiring Portsmouth side this year. I haven't looked a great deal into this but on the surface, Australia seem to struggle to retain some of their better dual nationals. They've got a fair few of their better youngsters (born and bred in Australia) playing in other countries' youth & senior sides. I get they're not exactly one of the better sides around but this isn't something you really saw with US-born players when they were in a similar position, for example. Ditto Welsh and Irish-born.
They are the same fans who will complain about everything during the World Cup as well. If we don't win each match three nil. " What a load of overpaid idiots "
