Did anyone expect Liverpool’s 2025 to end with Mo Salah saying he no longer like his own manager. What a mess they have ended up in.
🚨 David Beckham becomes 1st person to win MLS as player & owner after Inter Miami beat Vancouver Whitecaps in #MLSCupFinal. “One of greatest moments in my career” 50yo tells @TheAthleticFC. 🚨 Mohamed Salah expected to be left out of Liverpool squad for Inter match. No final decision yet + 33yo training. Wolves fans booing Cunha. Did he leave acrimoniously? He's pretty much the reason they're a PL club this season.
It's actually impressive how bad Wolves are for a established premier league side. You'd think there'd be some baseline level of quality within the squad. At least the sides who are truly awful usually have the excuse that they were promoted sides.
The Egyptian FA says it has sent a formal letter to Fifa requesting "Pride Match" celebrations at one of their World Cup matches do not happen.A statement says they reject "in absolute terms" any activities linked to LGBTQ+ support during the match.https://t.co/BRCnKHUefz— Emma Smith (@emmasmithjourno) December 9, 2025 Hi Egyptians, just wondering what you’ve got to say about the discrimination going on here? You’re very quick to accuse all the English football pundits, commentators and journalists of being racist and Islamophobic for fairly criticising Salah after his outburst, come on lads, be consistent in calling out discrimination
I don't think they're being inconsistent. They don't oppose discrimination against their people (as they see it) based on liberalism.
It come down to how willing Trump is upset Egypt. He won’t care about upsetting Iran at all. We all know whatever he asks for FIFA will do.
Travelling to the US, e.g. for the 2026 World Cup?Soon you will need to provide details of social media activity for the past 5 years.Aim is to comply with President Trump’s demand for visitors to be “vetted and screened to the maximum degree possible”.https://t.co/UtTq8M4LiP— Simon Calder (@SimonCalder) December 10, 2025 I can’t quite understand the constant complaining about freedom of speech in Europe from Trump etc but if I call Trump some rude name etc I could well be banned from entering the US. I find it quite ironic but I’m sure there’s some that will defend this and say it’s not the same thing.
Haha, It’s not my big soccer posts I need to worry about. However, I won’t be going anywhere near the States anytime soon.
Wolves are set to undergo a major overhaul in their recruitment strategy, abandoning their previous reliance on agents to strike deals - Daily Mail A parliamentary panel has indicated it plans to summon the West Midlands police chief constable again, after discovering that sections of the force's testimony about the decision to bar Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters against Aston Villa were wrong - The Guardian FIFA officials could be forced to move the World Cup group stage match between Egypt and Iran due to complaints from both countries about a Pride event - The Sun
The US has been angling for the social media vetting for years now, it's been a "voluntary" question on the ESTA for the past few years so I'd think the intention was always to make that mandatory, when the technology allowed for it (I assume they will just pass them through AI).
Croatian FA has released the price list for the first group game vs England (as set by FIFA/organisers):$265 (£198) for value tier$500 (£374) for standard tier$700 (£523) for premium tierFor the first group game.— Daniel Storey (@danielstorey85) December 11, 2025 Requirement of fans applying for tickets through national FAs is to pay for all tickets, for all rounds, up front and then get refunds if the team exits the tournament. Hideously, unforgivably expensive— Daniel Storey (@danielstorey85) December 11, 2025
Technically they only proposals at the moment. A date of implementation for some of these hasn’t been announced yet.
FA has now sent World Cup pricing to official England fans. Really is extortionate. pic.twitter.com/tPRWOwHggO— Matt Lawton (@Lawton_Times) December 11, 2025 I really wonder how many England fans are going to travel paying these prices? Even if I wanted to go, at these prices there’s absolutely no way I could justify this to my wife, lol
I can see FIFA offering a discount in a few days. (And if they don’t sell Dynamic pricing is meant to reduce the prices anyway.) But with matches at risk of being moved (Trump has already suggested Boston could lose its hosting rights) it’s all shaping up to be a very messy World Cup.
