Top manager clashes with established winger, divided dressing room, manager looks like losing the battle and is on his way out.

What a relief that Vinicius Jr. doesn’t play for us.

    Oh
    My
    God

Just when you think FIFA cannot possibly get any more jaw-droppingly cringe and unbelievably stoopid ..... this ....

A 2026 World Cup fixture designated by organisers as an LGBTQ+ 'Pride Match' will feature two countries where homosexuality is illegal.

The local organising committee in Seattle, one of the host cities for the Fifa tournament next summer, have said the match at the city's Lumen Field on 26 June will feature celebrations of the LGBTQ+ community.

The plans were put in place before the teams involved in the fixture were selected or the draw for the 2026 World Cup was made.

And following Friday's draw and Saturday's fixture allocation, it has been confirmed that the game on 26 June in Seattle will be the Group G match between Egypt and Iran.

In Iran, the maximum punishment for homosexual relations is the death penalty, while in Egypt, morality laws are frequently used to suppress LGBTQ+ rights and relationships.

I'm not sure if we have a more appropriate thread for this ...

The piece of shit who drove his car into the crowd in Liverpool (Paul Doyle) has just been sentenced to 21 years and six months in prison.

He has a history of violence, including while in the Army - was found guilty of multiple offences both civilian and military.

Doyle was discharged from the Royal Marines in 1993, after 22 months of service, because of the offences.
    • 1989: He committed military offence equivalent to common assault and was give seven days’ detention

    • 1991: Got into a scuffle with other men in a nightclub where he punched someone in the face multiple times and was convicted of assault

    • 1992: Convicted of two more military offences – including using violence against a superior officer. Later that year he was also convicted of the military equivalent of a criminal damage offence

    • 1993- Discharged and forced out of the Royal Marines

    • 1994: Jailed for 12 months for biting off the ear of another man in a drunken brawl with sailors

Some might remember that I have a mate who was there. He was on the witness list but not called as Arsehole pled guilty. Not that this makes any difference, just interesting.

His anger issues have cost him BIG time ..... imagine losing your mind to the extent of using your vehicle as a human crowd battering ram because you were being delayed in a city's traffic by a part of a crowd of an estimated 1Million people....???

Next to the US public re-electing trump this is, without doubt, the hands down dumbest act I can recall in years.....

I'm fine with that in 7 or 8 years time, after Slot's done his work.

It is hard to believe that he will go down as the most ass-backwards and corrupt head of FIFA in history - given FIFA's beyond checkered past.

Wrexham have entered the Championship play-off spots. Late drama at Loftus Road saw Phil Parkinson's side score in the 93rd and 94th minute against QPR to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Explains the coefficient calcs to decide which 2 countries will get the added CL place for next season (e.g. the PL 5th place finisher).

The process/math is boring - to me anyway.

But bottom line - England are currently way ahead of second-place Spain. Great for us of course, but it could still get screwed up by the PL teams.

With five PL teams in the top eight of the CL after "Round One" - there is plenty of evidence that the PL is the best league in Europe - yeah?

Zany thoughts as ever. It's out of their hands because City can win it by winning all of their games.
One of which he seems to forget is also against Arsenal! :geek::geek:

If Arsenal are in the same position it isn't out of either club's hands..... yet. It was in their hands.

it's moved from being alone in their hands to also existing in City's hands....

It's like the creation of the universe - matter out of nothing.... ;)

yep. and this is why I find it so tedious when people moan about us not having dominant performances against "lesser" PL teams. imo any of the top 10-12 PL teams would do very very well in the CL (until they hit the big name clubs).

the PL absolutely is the toughest league, no doubt. look at Spurs right now - 4th in the CL but 16th in the PL!

    Speaking of Spurs.....

this is pretty dumb behaviour..... Saw a reference to it last night on White & Jordan clip... didn't know what it was about at first..... more from the ugly underbelly of social media and phone-shyte-ubiquity.

Maybe so - but if you took out Chelsea, us, Villa and the top two and dumped all the other teams into the Spanish league, Barcelona and real Madrid would most likely still be #1 and #2 position
