Scotland are pretty inconsistent. Haiti play with a lot of spunk. They could force some errors or get a bounce.
Funny how articles headlines are like "vini jr shows why he's the best in the world" & "brazil earns draw againts morocco". If Argentina draw, imagine the headlines
During the Qatar vs. Switzerland match in the San Francisco Bay Area, a brief technical outage prevented the onside animation graphic from being generated ahead of the penalty awarded to Switzerland in the 14th minute. The issue was quickly resolved. The workflow of the VAR was… pic.twitter.com/ONpWxXDPE6— FIFA Media (@fifamedia) June 13, 2026 Suspect as hell
I love some of these games between minnows.. you get some great games with back-and-forth action. Plus you never know what to expect. I haven’t watched the full game, but everytime I’ve tuned into this Haiti-Scotland match it’s been entertaining Now a minnow vs a giant (like the upcoming Cape Verde vs Spain, or Germany vs Curaçao), those bring down the overall value of the tournament
We'll see if I can stay up for this midnight game between Australia and Turkey. What a goofy schedule
That counter goal was really well taken. But yeah Turkey don't seem to have many ideas besides hope Arda Guler gets it done.
Lol at Turkey. Oh and Alguien va dormir en el sofá 🗿XDD pic.twitter.com/HKgMrfNb3H— San Yorch (@Sanyorchv) June 14, 2026
They obviously didn't watch the game as Hakimi kept him under control and they didn't see him give the ball away a couple of times. That's an issue for us at RB. I'm sure Scaloni will set up to make sure our deficiencies at fullback are covered adequately.
Scotland is the land of milk and honey. Great fans as seen at the Euros. Loss of street football has really badly affected them. Used to turn out very good players regularly.
He's a classy player. If he wanted to I reckon he could ghost past players. He did once or twice but as he sits as the DM he is under orders not to take excessive risks. France had penned him in for their future team but when he wasn't chosen for this WC he upped sticks.
Just seen our Nestory Irankunda scored. I expect our chairman is hoping that adds a few million to his transfer value.....
I'm not familiar with him but the guy certainly could dribbles smoothly, so I'm just wondering why he always stopped midway and then making sideway or back passes. If he tries some piercing long ball like Paredes , Morocco probably would have gotten few more clear chances. There were so many occassions where Brazillian midfielders & defenders were so far apart. Enzo did that againts Croatia which led into the first goal. Even a DM should be allowed to creates more freely.
Brazil's fullbacks are pretty bad. Scaloni absolutely needs to take note of what happens when you have mediocre fullbacks.
He looked really interesting! Does he have real potential, or is he going to be more a one-cup wonder?
He definitely has potential which was why Bayern Munich brought him over. But he's very raw. We'll see how he develops. He has raw pace as we saw in the goal and actually he can get past players with good ball control. Saw that several times this season for Watford leaving three four players behind him not using pace but balance and feints. But at the moment he's best suited to playing with the ball in front of him and into space. As I said the question is whether he learns when to pass the ball because too often he beats 2-3 players then tries to beat another which is exciting but if you are a coach is immensely frustrating. and loses the ball. He can drift out of games and not ask for the ball but his work rate defensively is very decent and he does take a very good free kick and long range shot. Corners need work. So there is real potential there but he has a lot of rough corners to work on and how he does that such as playing the ball at the right time and finding a team mate rather than trying to do it all himself. will determine how he pans out. But he is a youngster and he has plenty of tools to make a very decent career for himself. Also doesn't help when you have 3 different coaches in a season making different requirements on players and changing systems (play on the left not the right , free role versus a shadow nine role and so on)but our chairman is a complete fruit loop.
Curacao scoring a goal today would make their whole World Cup. Ridiculous how Jamaica couldn't qualify.
Japan v Netherlands Ecuador and Ivory Coast Both should be really good games. Interested seeing all of these teams play.
