If only Luxembourgh is in WC and face Portugal... his chance to win the golden boots will increase significantly.

FIFA could’ve just made a good gesture and allowed the fans to keep it the tickets. But they’re saying “They can still pay for them if they want them!” I can understand if it was super expensive tickets but even then they could’ve just said we’ll swap them for this or that… But yes, they count every single penny.

“Yesterday’s pitch wasn’t very good, it was hard, there were holes…it wasn’t good,” said Japanese midfielder Take Kubo. “We had to change it because the players were afraid to start, to fight for every ball.”

Not sure how accurate this is but if it is... does Senesi make a late arrival?

Someone up above is keeping an eye out for us.......:p Call Senesi up now and sorry for Balerdi but he's not in the same level.

Also Lennart Karl has been ruled out of the WC. The Germ,an wunderkind picked up a serious injury in a friendly. Let's hope nothing happens to any of our players and that the Honduran and Icelandic players are told not to get too involved.

HA! I was thinking the same thing for Senesi. I hate to see a player like Balerdi get hurt, but Senesi is a better player imo. And had a better season. Senesi's only knock is that with the WC team he has not performed that well, but for club he had a very good season

Heartbreaking for Balerdi, feel for him, but Senesi should have been in the squad originally.

I'm not so sure about Scaloni calling up Senesi. Balerdi is an RCB and Senesi is an LCB. Capaldo or Kevin MacAllister seem to have a better chance in my opinion

    I would happily go with:

    Licha--------Senesi----------Romero---------Capaldo/Molina if fit

That would mean three absolutely top class passers out of the back creating all sorts of possibilities in an attacking sense.

Scaloni really trying to push the players to test fitness but if we are seeing injuries like this already then I am not sure it is a good idea. Now we have those anti climatic useless friendlies to accumulate more injuries and fatigue max.

Shocking really. You would think that in the months prior the pitches and the ones that the matches will be played on are fit for purpose. I'd suggest our players take it easy. You could easily turn an ankle on one of these awful pitches. Japan should issue a complaint to FIFA.

I heard earlier today that the pitches are not the best, certainly not like to bowling greens you get in Europe. Players should take it easy in these friendlies, the results are irrelevant, more of an extended fitness test.

Push them now…. Because once the tournament kicks-off you can’t replace players.

Plus, I’m not sure what Scaloni saw in Balerdi. The guy is so average and is prone to make mistakes.

Lol @ Ole suggesting Pezzella as a possible replacement :ROFLMAO:

At that point I would just request our withdrawal from the tournament

You beat me to the punch…

I’m hearing the Psycho music while reading this…

There's no way Pezzella gets a call, Scaloni isn't that random in his decisions. MQ has chances because he was in the march window squad.

Guys, Senesi didn't look comfortable in the high back line style we play. Bournemouth is completely different.

I'd rather try Capaldo or one of the kids in Europe (Anselmino).

Anselmino :ROFLMAO: He's more injured than Balerdi currently is probably.

With Medina in the squad it's unlikely that Senesi has a place.

I don’t think Anselmino is on the list of 55, and therefore can’t be a replacement at this point.

It would have to be either Senesi, MQ, Pezzella, Zaid Romero, Di Lollo, or Kevin Macallister. The other option would be to call up fullbacks like Capaldo, Giay, Rojas, or Acuña instead
