Atletico Madrid sells Falcao to Monaco and still makes the Champions League final. I feel there's some sort of lesson to learn here. Its why I think Bielsa will be successful at Marseille because coaching is the most important.
Yes that Atletico will never run out of quality top notch strikers.. El Nino, El Kun, Forlan, Falcao, Diego Costa..
ibra's the best... also the nicest and the smartest and just the finest person. and he's taken the trouble to learn french. i thin he's a really great guy. he's like PSG's gomis.
Thats amazing. Bielsa wont have that quality and lineage to work with. Hes got to improve contacts since hes going to be in charge of the whole operations. I mean look at Anigo's contacts and pipelines and how poor they've been. He hasnt even come close to unearthing the talent that Atletico has. Thats why his time is done and long since passed. He found Valbuena and Drogba but that was a long time ago.
Bielsa already learning French (rumored.) Not easy to do at an older age. I thought he would just have an assistant who played in France thus spoke it and would translate.
Meh, its not really hard to learn if you know spanish. I know minimal French just from speaking Spanish and taking some simple classes back in High School. My Kreyol is off the charts tho. Atletico is an organic team.. its most important players have come from its cantera or were bought when they were relatively nobodies. It also helps Cholo Simeone is a world class coach and has coached that team up leaps and bounds. Would never thought the likes of Juanfran and Miranda would make up one of the best backlines in futbol.
Louis van Gaal at Man U is good news if youre a Ligue 1 fan because he doesnt know France well and will probably prefer singing Dutch and Bundesliga players. Not gonna be a Newcastle or Arsenal situation where they are constantly linked with our players.
Andy Delort (Tours) will win for best ligue 2 player TOURS FC keeps putting out great ligue 2 players and Andy delort is one of them just like Giroud ! mark my words i'm bullish he needs ligue 1 playing time now...
Bielsa could bring in Aymeric Laporte come to L'OM or is that sideways move for him Marseille isn't playing in a champions league hes getting alot of playing time there... no? this is why la liga is kicking butt
Everyone wants Aymeric, I really doubt he leaves this summer though per his request to stay and fight for the CL with Bilbao before possibly bolting next summer.
Yeah how's Marseille's gonna get him when I googled his name and saw a 3 day old article that says he agreed to join Barca.
this kid is left footed which is good for passing and attack we got great leftbacks in france to compliment this kid
http://www.goal.com/en-us/match/116358/rayo-vallecano-vs-athletic-bilbao/report he got man of the match .... Aymeric.... seem like Bilbao is fighting for CL spot..... he might be staying...
OM beat OL 4-2. OM still alive for the Europa League. Lyon still ahead of them by 2 pts and St Etienne still the favorite of course.
i saw the match and honestly his two goals are 100% down to horrible defending by umtiti and especially bisevac. letting a guy pulling a trailer behind him get behind you that way is faute professionnelle. honestly, in real time it looks like slow-motion, and in slow-motion looks like super-slow-motion.
^ I saw the highlights and had a similar opinion. I dont see how he fits in Bielsa's up tempo high octane offense. He's slow and fat and not that technically gifted. Replacing him with Gomis is NOT the answer and I wish those rumors would die. Send Giganc and Gomis to Russia and Ukraine and everyone will be happy.
