So Tigana resigned from Bordeaux. He said they verbally assaulted his daughter in the stands and were doing in it in school as well. My opinion is that he didnt have much of a chance to succeed since they lost 2 really good players and replaced them with cheap players.

Gervinho should have been in the list.

Saw Gervinho being linked with Fiorentina and it made me laugh. The days of losing our best players to mid level Italian teams are over. In a few years Lille will be a bigger club than Fiorentina easily.

What makes me laugh is that I'd love to see la Viola spend 16 or 18M€ on a single player. Not for a long time I think.

Meilleur entraîneur Ligue 2 : Olivier Pantaloni (Ajaccio), Bernard Casoni (Croix-de-Savoie), Patrice Carteron (Dijon), Landry Chauvin (Sedan)

Lens are officially gone. We will see if they come right back up or become another Nantes. It's good news for Lille all around. If Lens stay down for a while then some of their supporters will go to the new Lille stadium to see Ligue 1 football. Its bad for neutrals like myself who enjoy the Lille-Lens rivalry. Valenciennes will never become as popular as Lens.

The poll/question of the day is:

do you guys think that PSG will roll over to help Lille to the title?

    Or

will PSG stand up and fight for that last Champions League spot? Furthermore, Lyon are @ Brest today and if Lyon drop points, PSG will certainly still be in the fight.

What would be more gratifying to PSG people? Seeing l'OM lose out on the title--which sadly I think is almost a foregone conclusion -- or qualifying into the Champions League?

    Discuss.

    Merci beaucoup.

I think Lille will win the title and Lyon will finish 3rd despite having a terrible manager who should have been fired after losing 4-0 to Auxerre.

I agree: congrats to Lille. Though I don't think they will this weekend, the title is pretty much wrapped up.

hard to see the best GK award not going to lloris. but réveillère definitely deserved being named to the all-star team. he's had a great year, the most consistent lyonnais by far.

It's tough with the Goalkeepers because it's tough to compare across the board. I watch Lloris all the time and he has made so amazing saves to keep us in the running all season. But I can't say Mandanda hasn't either. During the OL-OM match they both made amazing plays.

Bien joué les LOSC boys !

Everybody seems rather satisfied with that, well everybody accepts that if their own team can't win it, Lille is OK. Lens maybe not, but they have other things to worry about...

Thieriez wants to go back to 18 teams. Great idea because there are too many lower budget smaller city teams with little growth potential so why not get rid of 2 of them.

Every subpar team will have Arles Avignon to thank when there is two less spots in the top flight.

I'm impressed by Jouanno. How is it possible to be in charge of the ministry of sports and talk such nonsense. She's capable of saying things like the term "selling players" is unethical, football should not be a race for money, PSG should keep its identity and follow the amazing work of Leproux, money is not a problem for French football we should just follow the example of the Bundesliga (http://www.sofoot.com/la-bundesliga-voit-rouge-136892-news.html), not to mention that she seems full of racist cliché (Al Jazeera, Qatar, disgusting names isn't it ?) . Too bad, I haven't hear complaints about CC buying PSG...
Someone should show her what's happening abroad and talk to her about Bosman.

Anyway, there are 3 bids to obtain the L1 TV rights and Al Jazeera is part of them which acknowledge all the rumors about them willing the promote L1 worldwide. That's a good news since everyone in French football was worried that the amount of money to obtain those TV right could decrease.

Football should not be a race for money but thats what it is now. You can't change it its too late. Either get with the times or die out.
