I still feel very confident that OL, OM and FCB will be in the top 3 at the end.

Yohann Pele of Toulouse and Coupet will both be out for a long while and I think that will have a big impact where they finish in the standings because both teams were predicted for top 6 finishes and they could slide down now because of the injured keepers.

Losing Coupet is a big blow for PSG. They are in trouble. I'm not sure who their backup is though, maybe he is capable.

Not Ligue 1 but Cannes are in negotiations to sign former Czech International Jan Koller. I wonder how they can afford to pay him.

Maybe he realized he's past it, and has adjusted his wage demands accordingly. Crazier things have happened lol. I mean Cannes is in the 3rd division of french football. He can't conceivably be worth all that much nowadays.

Koller is probably looking for a great retirement home with beautiful weather , Cannes fits that description . :p

I think this is Bordeaux's championship to lose , they look so far ahead of their direct rivals currently it's terrible .

There's still a lot of football left to play. I'm not counting anyone out yet. Other than PSG that is :p

Am I the only one watching the Valenciennes ASM game? I was a real exiciting half, and Valenciennes seems to have the upper hand.

I think some of us thought that Monaco had a chance for a Europa League spot but I think we know now they are a mid table team for sure.

I'm not so sure. I haven't completely lost faith in them. This poor form could only be temporary.

Valenciennes aren't that good. You need to be beating them to prove to me that you are a contender.

Yea you're right. But you can always find a top side struggling against lesser oppenents at any stage of a season. Valenciennes were home and up for the game. It's surprising how easily Monaco were brushed aside though.

After the "big 3", (Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille) Lille are the next best team. I'm fully convinced of that now. Lille will finish 4th I think.

Looks like Monaco was just a blip after all. I was wrong, I thought they had manage to put something together down there.

Perrin got the sack yesterday. Christophe Galtier, his assistant, will be taking over control of ASSE. Doubt it's gonna help though, Perrin is a decent enough manager.

Oh yea he's quality, i just picked him up myself for my Olympique de Cognac side on FM:).

Anybody know who's doing the color commentary for the ASSE OM game on Orange sport? He is ridiculously into it lol. Looks like this game is going to end 0-0 which isn't a bad result against my two least favorite sides in the country. OM has really thrown everything at them though, great match despite the scoreline.

So Bordeaux are the winter champions , they crushed Lorient 4-1 .

And I still believe this .

Marseille failed to take advantage of a 10 man ( they had a defender sent off early in the match ) Saint Etienne team that's low on confidence , and who's supporters were on strike .
