Zelalem not seeing much of the ball. But just gets the ball at his feet and goes down just inside the box. Fans wanted the call but play on.
Zelalem didn't have much of the ball until the final 20 minutes or so, but when he did have it he took care of it in typical fashion. He could have had an assist with the Oduwa near miss, he maybe should have gotten a penalty call on a nice dribble into the box and he was in position to score into an open goal if Waghorn hadn't taken the shot from a bad angle that he managed to sneak in the goal. Would give him a 6.5 for the half.
Didn't have as much of an impact today as Rangers bypassed the midfield a lot more than they have been doing. Have to say, the quality on the field today for Rangers finally looked like the second division of Scottish soccer. As for Zelalem, I would rate him a 6. He did OK. Nothing great and nothing poor. I did see him frustrated a few times with his teammates for how they were playing. He also vented at the ref a little toward the end. Although I understand why he was frustrated, he needs to check himself a little. Last thing, I HATE the way Oduwa plays. He plays selfish, he doesn't take care of the ball and he causes the team to have spacing issues in attack because he just goes wherever the hell he wants.
Almost looked like they went out of there way not to pass it to him. I also saw a couple of instances where his own team mate would take the ball from him.
I remember that play. While I don't believe there was a conspiracy to not pass him the ball, today seemed to be the first game where they made no attempt to get him involved. Some of that was due to the way Livingston defended him as he was often man-marked. But there might be some some feelings going through the squad that it's BS that Zelalem has gotten so much credit for a team that was undefeated even before he arrived. Time will tell I guess.
