by Mexican ticket holders? If so, this is a chance for US supporters to grab some seats at (hopefully) deflated prices on stubhub. I'm assuming two thirds of the tickets that have been bought by Mexican supporters. Any thoughts?
I was rooting for Panama for this very reason. You can refresh stubhub right now and see prices slide down. Good, ef all the people who bought them just to quadruple the price for Mex/Usa. I hope they lose tons of money.
The match has been sold out. That would mean a lot of people eating their tickets. I can see some Mexican fans going and being US supporters. Mainly people bringing their kids, who seem lean toward USA. Regardless, I'm hoping the scalpers lose their rear ends.
FWIW, Stub Hub had 7,000 tickets for sale earlier in the week. Prices ranged from $42 to ridiculous. There are not so many more tickets for sale - at least not yet. But the lowest price is down to $23.
I'm happy that scumbag scalpers are gonna lose money but still seriously bummed that we don't get to play Mexico.
No offence to Panama, but it would have been a more compelling game. Aaaaaand, of course, there would have been the opportunity to hang a big number on them right before we get back to thinking qualifiers.
Yeah, it's the risk they (and we) took. Certainly gave me added reason to be nervous for the Honduras game. Came close to having to cheer for Canada in 2007.
Ticketmaster offers plenty of tickets: http://www.ticketmaster.com/2013-co...rtistid=960349&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=11 The cheapest i found are $39
Will be my first USMNT match. Shame that it's not Mexico, as the atmosphere would have been incredible. I could have also worn my cheesehead (which I plan on doing in addition to one of my USMNT jerseys), then I would have had DOUBLE the glares
Allright, cheeseheads in the house! Paint your cheesehead red/white/blue. That almost guarantees camera time.
Don't think I have red/white/blue painting for it sadly not to mention my art skills aren't exactly the greatest if my AO Bandanas were big enough I'd use them to wrap around the cheesehead if possible
