Why? They'll just take us outside for sobriety testing... I don't know if I can recite the Alphabet without singing even if I were to be sober (in that off moment when my beer to blood ration goes under 90%)...
No Prob. Metrobus 5A goes there from L'Enfant, Rosslyn, and Herndon http://www.wmata.com/timetables/dc/5a.pdf I think it's $2 and it's pretty direct. Saved me a couple of expensive Dulles Flyer trips...
METROBUS! Are you serious? Metrobus? Man, as a Moderator I demand that I get a chauffered limo driven by a cute DC intern! Thanks for the information. I actually may have a lift to the meeting but it is good to know about the Metrobus for future occasions...
There does not seem to be a Red Roof Inn near Dulles. But I can get Room 237 at the Hyatt if you want to hang out before or after greeting Earnie (women Eagles only of course!)
I wish I could come up from Richmond, but 2 hour drive for a 10 minute party isnt my bag.... yes it is what am i saying.... but i still cant come... tell him to come to the next BS happy hour though! Scott
What's this then? A signed copy of "Driving Two Hours From Richmond to Go To a Ten Minute Long Party. . . This Sort of Thing Is My Bag, Baby," by Scott "Danger" Great?
I work 15 minutes from Dulles. I should be able to make it if we're done with our big project. Maybe a smoke bomb or two is the thing to liven things up. Just kidding everyone. Sachin
I would love to be there to welcome Earnie, but alas, I'm 3000 miles distant. Earnie Stewart strikes me as an intelligent, well-spoken man with obvious European sensibilities. He might appreciate a couple of gifts (possibly a DCU scarf, authentic cowboy shirt, maybe some flowers for his wife) as well as good behavior from his supporters. A nice professionally rendered welcome sign would be good too. I wouldn't care for a bunch of alcohol-fueled fools as greeters, and I doubt if Earnie and family would be any different. Hope you guys have a nice time, and a bunch show up. Enjoy. joe guy
the best quote from my book would have to be "driving two hours from richmond to go to a ten minute long party, isn't in my bag, baby. What am I saying, sure its in my bag, but my parentals wouldn't let me take the car because last time I gave it back with streamers and confetti plastered onto it!" scott
.. If anyone is commin from the Fair Oaks area..I have room for three..let me know if anyone needs it
if you guys take pictures make sure to post them on the internet somewhere so people who can't go can see them.
Wow, I wish I could go! Anyway, wear your DC and Stewart jerseys - the red one from '98 is my personal fave. And yeah, for fun, take along your stuffed Ernie dolls - isn't there a Tickle Me Ernie that someone could dress up in a DC jersey?
NEED A RIDE/GIVE A RIDE Anyone who needs or can give a ride from somewhere not on thyis thread yet, let someone know. make sure to contact your friends both on and off BS, come on, everyone try to work someone in with you to the greeting. sneak out of work early, take an early meeting, so on and so forth.
Pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff. What a load of BS. Although he'll surely appreciate anything you people do... if you want to impress him I'd say you better bring 300 alcoholfueled 'fools' singing their guts out and being generally extravert than 50 well behaved, neatly-shaved grown up men who hand him a present. Trust me on this one. He's seen it all before. But I'm sure he'll appreciate whatever you do.
Or something like this vd sar goodbye But I'm not too sure about the consequences of lighting flares in the airport
