http://www.democratandchronicle.com/news/1030story1_news.shtml Garber says that while MLS has no “established minimum,” on seating, he thinks 20,000 seats are necessary. “While we can’t be viable in 70,000-seat facilities, we’ll be more viable in 20-to-30,000-seat stadiums than 13,000.” Garber said Rochester would be a candidate with a 13,000-seat, expandable stadium. “As we’ve been saying for many years, once they do have a facility in place, we certainly could envision (Rochester) as part of our league,” he said.
Today some progress was made: http://www.democratandchronicle.com/news/1031story101937_news.shtml The mayor has said once the Fast Ferry project started moving he'd endorse the SSS. Who knows if that's the truth.
Off topic... I am so tired of the stupid, "Size doesn't matter"... "Size does matter" campaigns. It is so played out. A comparison to me would be like keeping parachute pants in style from the time they came out until now and further. Sorry, but, those things were awful (yes, I owned a pair once). Anyway, (to the world)... can we somehow become original and start a new play on words that is more interesting? I guess I also get fed up because as an actor and improvisor, one of the first things we learn is that, if you want to go for the easy laugh? Make it about sex. It plays to the simple minds of people. It's cheap. The best improvisors get you in more intelligent ways. So, I've developed a great disdain for the simple-mindedness of sexual obsession. Sorry...
