I've just seen the new Ireland home jersey - it's not what I would have picked! Looks more like something the Scots might have been unlucky enough to be landed with.
it wouldn't have been my first choice but i'll reserve final judgement until i see it in the flesh. oh, i long for the days when it was a plain green shirt, none of these namby-pamby little features modern shirts have. i want a cotton shirt that weighs 10 pounds when it's rains, or when you sweat. having said that i quite like the figure hugging wales and spurs shirt - very flattering!!
Re: Re: Re: Gank Ta' for the link.. Jeez, that's awful... like some of those late 80's early 90's yokes. I have to agree, there's nothing like a plain old green Jersey, with a white collar and cuffs. Maybe a slight dash of Orange trim somewhere. Keep it simple I say. Jayz, even the GAA jersies have gone to pot nowadays. The Dublin and Clare jersies would give you a headache.
Now available on Bigsoccer.com: http://store.bigsoccer.com/item.jsp?item=BS_01_IREH002&category=11 Boy they are ugly: Also, why is Ireland the ony country to have a sponsor on the shirts they sell to their fans? BTW, I was able to get a knockoff one last year on ebay without the sponsor.
Now, come on - it isn't as bad as the butcher's apron we have now! (or the series of god-awful away tops we've had, hehe)
