PBP: Gameday Thread 14: Crew vs. Montreal

Those graphic line-ups are often wrong. I'd be really surprised if Meram isn't a striker tonight. He just played as one (with success) on Wednesday.

 

This actually doesn't look bad. I was worried that Larsen would start.

 

Lineup doesn't matter. We're are wearing our cursed jerseys. Lose by two.

 

With all the injuries I'll be happy to get anything from this match

Larsen must be awful if he can't beat out Jiminez. That or Ggg is playing defensively at home.

 

Parkhurst has been good

 

45 minutes of proof that possession is overrated. Glad I didn't pay to watch this one.

 

Jimenez out, ola or larsen in.

 

Parkhurst has shut down everything around him. Probably his best 45 mins of the season.

Everyone else... giant meh...

 

Very low tempo despite closing down higher up the field, at times, than we typically do. One good give and go between Hector and Harry, one solo move from Meram, and not much else. Defensively solid, one of Parkhurst's best showings yet this season.

Agree on Parkhurst. A very good half from him.

 

On the brightside, Ethan has done so little he won't need a sub around the 70' mark.

 

I thought Jiminez has looked pretty good. He's combined well and has worked hard defensively.

 

Great example there of Saied's value, Ashe pops a ball up and just dumps into the middle to no one in particular and Mo beats two MTL defenders to it and gets a simple touch on to knock it to a teammate.
