No fans, but looks like the season will resume for the Rapids on Wednesday night at 7 pm. No idea about who will be available to take the pitch. I assume at least one keeper it healthy . We're BACK tomorrow night!A big three points up for grabs on our home turf. Get ready ⏬— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) October 6, 2020
Looks no Rossi for LAFC tomorrow night. Ten Things To Know: Colorado Rapids vs. LAFC#Rapids96 #LAFC #COLvLAFChttps://t.co/z5APNIgAJl https://t.co/MJTiNqhJwu— AltitudeTV (@AltitudeTV) October 5, 2020
LAFC Report: Thankfully for us LAFC (who have played 15 games on the season) will be without the following on international duty (https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020...e-despite-key-absences-due-international-duty): Jose Cifuentes (midfielder) 14 games, 9 starts, 805 min. 1g/3a Diego Palacios (defender) 13 games, 13 starts, 1028 min. Brian Rodriguez (forward) 15 games, 15 starts, 1218 min. 2g/7a Diego Rossi (forward) 15 games, 15 starts, 1338 min. 12g/2a (leads MLS in goals) Rossi, Rodriguez, and Cifuentes are also the team leaders in shots for LAFC Further missing (most likely) from LAFC tonight (https://www.angelsonparade.com/2020...ury-updates-lafc-carlos-vela-tristan-blackmon): Tristan Blackmon (defender) 10 games, 9 starts, 800 min. CARLOS VELA 3 games, 3 starts, 237min. 2g/0a Based on that article it sounds like neither of them will be available due to injury for tonight's game - which is a huge boost to our chances in tonight's game with what appears to be 6 of LAFC's regular starters missing from their lineup. Rapids Report: The Rapids will also (presumably) be out 4 players due to COVID-19. Furthermore, Kellyn Acosta is suspended for yellow card accumulation and is not eligible to play in tonight's game. According to the MLS Soccer injury report (https://www.mlssoccer.com/injuries) - which was updated on October 6th - it sounds like these are the players we may be missing tonight, and who, based on the "injury" tag they are labeled with, may be the 4 players out for COVID-19 treatment and recovery: OUT: M - Younes Namli (not medically cleared) OUT: F - Diego Rubio (not medically cleared) OUT: F - Andre Shinyashiki (not medically cleared) OUT: D - Deklan Wynne (not medically cleared) If those 4 players are indeed out, we may see a lineup similar to this: Predictions: As far as predictions go for tonight? I think you'll have better odds at the craps table than you will predicting the outcome of tonight's game. But what the hey, I'll take a stab at it. 3-3 tie in a back and forth "thriller" that features defensive miscues, sloppy giveaways in the attacking third, and the Rapids seizing a tie from the jaws of victory with a late (85th+ minute) goal allowed to LAFC.
Well crap: Reporting with @samstejskal: Tonight's Colorado Rapids-LAFC game has been postponed due to another positive COVID test for a Rapids staffer last night, according to multiple sources.— Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio) October 7, 2020 Adding to this: LAFC did not travel to Colorado, according to sources. Team was scheduled to travel this morning, but the decision to postpone was made prior to their departure. https://t.co/vldEw8DZzD— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) October 7, 2020 Stejskal and Tenorio are not usually wrong with their reporting either.... Nothing officially released from either team or the MLS yet as of the time of this posting, but it looks like no game tonight.
⚽️ #COLvLAFC⏰ 7:00PM🏟 DSGP📺 @AltitudeTV📻 @AltitudeSR💻 https://t.co/Nkk33wTgyf#Rapids96 | @WesternUnion— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) October 7, 2020 Weird at 1130 they posted this Still don't understand how a Staff positive (and no additional Player positives) postpones a game. Do we get to decide which game we forfeit now, given lack of dates?
A. A staff member testing positive means that we still don’t have a handle on the outbreak and the league is right I’m not putting more people into an unknown situation. B. As I’ve mentioned before, there are other games (specifically Seattle-Galaxy) that have not yet been rescheduled and reportedly won’t be unless it impacts the playoffs, so I can’t see the league forcing us to forfeit.
How safe is the stadium? The women’s national team is scheduled to have a training camp there in a few weeks.

What's old news becomes new news. A vicious cycle .I can't imagine the rollercoaster of emotions preparing for a match and not knowing if it's even going to happen. It's hard to not let that effect you. Frustrating.
We beat San Jose yet again tonight on Altitude 5 - 0. Replay goal differential has to be awesome by now.
