Florence and the Machine performed the Jenny of Oldstones song during the credits.

GoT 8.2 had a lot of tender moments, and i think that offers a clue who's going to be offed.

    Grey Worm &/or Missandei
    Theon
    1 of Brienne, Thormund, Jaime
    Jorah
    1 of Arya - Gendry

Bad luck w/ Grey Worm talking about future plans after the battle.
Theon and Jorah are seeking redemption, and will get it.
Brienne got the recognition she always wanted, and will go out fighting.
Arya and Gendry getting it on means bad luck, probably for Gendry.

I don't see the good guys winning the battle, unless some small miracle happens, like this lord of light, or Benjen, or Melissandre, or someone coming in like a white knight saving the day.

Macklemore is also pretty famous but none of my sisters know who he is. Different demographics I suppose ;)

On the subject of Melisandre, some are arguing that the little girl who bore the marks of having survived Grayscale was actually Melisandre in disguise.

Not sure if I buy that and at the same time I do expect her to make an appearance during this battle. Possibly with other other Red Priest(esse)s?

The last time I recall seeing him was when the Wildlings attacked Castle Black. If you recall, Jon handed Sam the key to Ghost's pen and told him "Right now I need him more than I need you". That was the end of season 4 I believe.

I thought it was just a little girl was part of her face burned, and she was there to remind Ser Davos about her, and how another girl could die and he's helpless to do anything about it.

An interesting nugget in terms of how shocked some people were at the Arya sex scene: Maisie Williams was older when she shot that scene than the actor who plays Podrick Payne was for his brothel scene several seasons ago. Yet that did not get anywhere near the negative reactions. So a double standard in terms of how the viewers perceive a young woman vs. a young man?

Could be, but also just because we've been watching Arya since she was supposed to be what, 11? And she still has a very youthful appearance.

And there are really negative reactions to the scene out there? Makes me happy I stopped following such stuff awhile back, that's lame. My reaction to self was more like "Hey bro, should you really be enjoying this as much as you are?"

Nobody knows who Podrick is :p

I was so confused. I was like "it's Arya. she's Jon's sister. She has her NEEDLE".

Poor Bran. Surely, he's going to end up being collateral damage.

Lot of people are spinning a theory that Bran is the Night King.

But didn't we already see the Night King being created by the Children of the Forest? Or was that just a random White Walker?

I think he is more like what Obi-Wan was to Darth Vader in "Star Wars".

I'm expecting a lot of casualties, but...
    Show Spoiler
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Night King defeated in the next episode. The show for the most part has been about palace intrigue. I have to think they'd finish the show like that as well. Feel kind of out of place for the show if the white walkers win, then go down and destroy King's Landing, and the finale is whoever is left finally defeating the Night King. They've been building up to the final showdown between Cercei and John/Dany for years. Be kind of anti-climatic if the Night King stops it from ever happening.

If the living do lose though, there is one way I can think they'd win in the end.
    Show Spoiler
Is there any wildfire left in King's Landing? The survivors could lure the Night King there, and sacrifice King's Landing in the hope of killing the Night King once and for all.

Possibly a double standard. I wasn't shocked by it but was a bit uncomfortable as were the three other people with whom I was watching. For me though, I think it's because we've seen Arya grow up from a little girl -- she's much more of a central figure than Pod -- so, rightly or wrongly, many viewers look at her as a sister or a daughter, and in that regard, it's not that you want to deny her right to sexuality --- you just don't want to see it.

It was the Night King that the Children of the Forest created. He was one of the First Men and they were trying to take them to create protectors for themselves against the First Men.

But such an ending would more or less ruin the season-long "there is only one war that matters" rhetoric, wouldn't it?

He can't be though, the 3 Eyed Raven is what keeps humanity's history alive. When he dies, history dies. It's why the Night King wants to kill him, to erase the history of man and usher in darkness.
