Anyone see the fan made ending of the last episode? Brann reveals himself to be the Night King when his eyes turned blue momentarily as Jon kneels before him, and a flashback revealed that he warged into Dany before flattening King's Landing. 1130846736602132481 is not a valid tweet id
If the showrunners would've taken 10 minutes of the final episode to add this twist, it would've made the whole final season worthwhile.
I appreciate following some of the people who don't get as much credit or attention for things, but once again, I wanted more. It almost felt like an unauthorized documentary in that so many of the things were important role adjacent. Oh, we're going to see how this guy stages shots... nope, but this other guy struggles with a copier, finds letter paper and gets him snacks. Emilia Clarke is featured... nope, but the woman who maintains her wig. That's ok, at least there is Kit Harington... or the extra that he might recognize from being around for a few seasons. It didn't make things small enough or grand enough for me. Creating a city is a huge undertaking, but that was just something that happened. All of the props, extras, clothing, etc. It was all over the place. A script existed (how different was the table read from reality?), locations were picked, sets were made, snow, stunt people, and somehow nothing felt important.
Well I don't think anyone is saying that the twist has to happen like a 1min fan video! The series had great twists like the red wedding or neds beheading What happened to that stuff?
I think that's what Jon offing Dany, Bran becoming king, and Jon going back to the Night's Watch were supposed to be. Personally I didn't have a problem with any of those plot twists, it was the execution that fell flat.
Impressions: 1. Scott Ian looks like he's from the North, apropos with the Stark guitar. 2. Nuno's Lannister guitar is beautiful; really eye-catching. 3. D.B. Weiss is a better guitar player than Season 8 screenwriter.
