My wife and I will be taking a short vacation to Mexico in November. We'll be in Veracruz on November 20th when the local team will be hosting Jaguares. From what I can gather on the net, the Tiburones Rojos are having a good year. We don't get Veracruz games in Denver so I was surprised to find out that Blanco had ended up there. I was hoping there was someone in Veracruz who can give me some advice on attending the game. Is it easy to buy tickets? Is there any special place we should sit? Anything else we need to know? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I recently took a weekend trip to Monterrey (mostly to see my girlfriend) but also one of the things on my agenda was seeing the Tigres - Veracruz game at Estadio Universitario. We figured we could get tickets at the stadium and you can. Only this particular game was a big draw so when we got there only the "palco" or box seats were left for about $40 a pop, and we didn't feel like emptying our wallets/purse.

So anyway point of this story is that you should be able to get tickets to any MFL game online via Ticketmaster Mexico

    http://www.ticketmaster.com.mx/

That way you could know you got 'em.

It was a bummer because Tigres plastered Veracruz 7-1 and it would have been a game I'd have remembered for all time, but I'll go again :D

Oh yeah, most non-box "vip" type tickets will run you about $10 - $30.

    Have fun

Yeah habia scalpers but the one guy we talked to most wanted 400 pesos for 115 peso seats, I tried to bargain with him saying I didn't have that much cash, which I didn't ;) , but he wouldn't budge, he walked away several times and kept coming back --thus I thought he'd come down but he never did, eventually I think he got someone else to pay his crazy prices not many other scalpers were to be found.

Yeah he didn't play that game,

I've seen the "great Cuauh" play before in person,

A few others were there with us who didn't want to pay also, but it was okay, me and her had other important things to attend to that evening..................................................................................

He is in Monterrrey, Codiomontano ;) :D

Anyone heard that one joke about the compadres from Monterrey who are swimming in the lake and one of them says first one out buys the suds so they end up drowning.. All jokes aside Monterrey has one of the best footy atmospheres in the MFL..
