Still a week to go before we can think about a possible lineup but it's the last game so might as well get chatting. RSL has not done well after breaks which is kind of silly. Vancouver will be fighting to get out or stay out of the 8/9 play in and RSL can't drop lower than 4th which they probably want to avoid considering that Houston sits in 5th at the moment. Is it inevitable that RSL will see their opponent in the playoffs be the dreaded Dynamo? Any who, sad to see the regular season come to an end.
Anything can happen next weekend. Hopefully, we can put pressure on LAFC and Seattle while simultaneously gaining some momentum before the playoffs. At least we’ll be playing Houston at the Riot and not down south if things don't change.
First round is first to two wins. Higher seed gets a second home game if necessary. Additionally, there is no extra time and it goes straight to PK's.
I get the reasons for and against, but I do like that they don't play the extra 30min in this format. It usually leads to injury and exhaustion, even if there is some excitement due to players getting beat. It would be a shame to drain yourself right out of the gate.
I've really hated the new playoff format. It's absurd. That being said, outside of Vera (who should be done with the team) The lineup will be who we will see for all of the playoffs.

So no punishment since it's the last game of the year? Yellows don't carry into the next year/round when you're eliminated. I don't think they should carry over into next year from the regular season based on that info. Red cards and such are different though, to me.

I watched Dami highlights from 2019-23 between the Eastern games and the start of this one. How great was it to root for that guy while he played for us! Now for him and his team to get skunked tonight!
