Interested to hear what everyone thinks about this one. It's a good opportunity to put some distance between ourselves and the two LA teams.

No Glad or Vera due to injury and stupidity, respectively, so who knows who'll end up in the middle on the back line. We should be in pretty good shape the rest of the way up the pitch, but a couple of quick defensive brain farts and we're on our heels.

Hopefully we can be a little more consistent than we were on Wednesday, but not feeling great about this game.

RSL 1 - 3 LAG. Hoping the boys prove me wrong.

    Likely starting lineup:

    MacMath
    Brody Quinton Hidalgo Katranis
    Eneli Ojeda
    Gomez Crooks Luna
    Chicho

RSL will score goals, but I don't know if they can score more than LAG, especially if Puig is playing.

This is being billed as game of the week, hopefully it lives up to it.

My bet is that Julio will start up front with Chico behind him as a pseudo 10, with Crooks on the bench.

what's the over/under on goals we will concede? I think 3.5... Gonna be hard to score enough to win IMO. I'm desperately hoping for a tie, but I'm guessing we come out on the wrong end.

Chicho in my opinion had a poor match in Kansas City. He seemed a bit off and his passes were less than steller. I do not think he will have that type of performance tomorrow night. This is the type of match I think Chicho will be completely up for and I think he will shine.
Issue for me is our depleted back line. Summer transfer window needs to see us sign at least one DP level center back.

You don't spend DP money on a CB in this league. Even approaching max TAM is questionable.

The team clearly needs help on the backline ,but I also understand factoring in squad building for subsequent years. It's a big time balancing act for Kurt.

I think this is close to the lineup but I would think that Oviedo and Hidalgo will be the pairing at CB. You need a vet back there but even at that LAG will be absolutely terrorizing that back line tonight.

Who knows, maybe Pablo give Beavers another game in goal.

All this talk of massive goals means it’ll somehow end 0s

Maybe we're starting Eneli in the back, since we've just signed Caliskan to a first team contract. Just for this season with team options for the following three seasons. Not sure why we'd need him to take a roster spot with the other DMs available.

That doesn't seem to make much sense? Sign a CB, you know, the spot you need players. Sign Caliskan, who did not look good in his previous stint but may have impressed elsewhere, and then have him sit the bench for the rest of the season in the midfield?

We have been on such an astonishing record-setting run of form. Eventually it will come to an end just because the dice rolls adversely. A fair amount of luck is involved in outcomes in football. We've been beating the odds so far with amazing comebacks and stand-on-your head keeping. Obviously, I hope it will continue. But, we all need to ready ourselves for the day. I sure hope the team is ready so that if/when the day comes they don't get down, but accept it as part of the game and continue to play well.

Did we hit the cap on how many times we can have him on the gameday roster without having him on a first team contract?

I don't think we need a fourth DM on the gameday roster is the issue. So something else might be up. Just waiting for the lineup to drop.

We are fortunate to miss Riqui Puig on this trip, out with an injury.

Chicho signalling sub. He's bleeding; so too is Caceres I think, who will sub for LA.

Aye, badly. Nearly five minute delay; Anderson on for us and Jalen Neal for them.

Gomez is wildly fun to watch this season. What a takedown and attack on the long outlet from MacMath. The two best chances in the first 25 minutes are for us.

LA hasn't really tested our makeshift central defense yet (and I'll include Palacio with Hidalgo and Oviedo). We've looked much better than I expected.

Gomez immediately has 2 defenders on him when he gets the ball.
