4 days rest so everybody should be ready to play or they should retire. Pappa should be back and Freidrich suspended for this game and I think Oduro needs to sit.

    What's with the noon start?

No Freidrich because of red card, unless FIRE fight it and say it was Berry with the foul. So we should see Gargan back in the starting 11, Segares, Anibaba, Berry, Gargan backline.

No Freidrich, return of Pappa and Oduro to the bench

    --------------------Alex-------------------
    --Pappa------------------------Nyarko--

    -----Pause--------------------Pardo-----

    -Segares--Berry---Anibaba--Gargan--

I was wondering about the noon start myself. Very odd time for a weekday. And the Fire should fight that Freidrich second yellow card. Awful call. Hope we can play well and get a draw at the least. Big game for the standings with us being tied going into today in the points with NY.

Oduro has started basically every game he has been with the fire. The only time he sat at the start were his first three games here. No reason to think that will change Wednesday

True, Frank doesn't make any changes unless he is forced to (injury, suspension). That's why it would be pointless for us to sign a DP. Frank would not incorporate them into the starting lineup and the player would get frustrated and want to leave.

Except that the two people we've brought in mid-season are now starting....

I was hoping to make it three, but Friedrich was announced 3 days before First Kick. :(

I can't see Oduro being benched yet, mainly because we don't have other forwards who are likely to do much better than him. I'd be in favor of Puppo starting ahead of Oduro on Wednesday, but he seems to have fallen behind Barrouch on the depth chart. Rolfe just doesn't seem comfortable as the lone forward . . . Alex seemed to often be pushing further forward than him last night, and yet still dropped further back into the midfield as well.

I expect Alex back on the bench if Pappa starts, with Oduro starting and Rolfe as a withdrawn forward.

He didn't have much problem quickly inserting Grazzini and Pardo last year. If he doesn't see immediate reason to change the lineup, he's reluctant to do it, but if it's a DP that he picks out and signs, I think he'd work him into the lineup fairly quickly.

Except for Friedrich, Pardo, Grazzini, Rolfe, who were inserted without being "forced" to do so as soon as they arrived (Rolfe was injured or would have played sooner). As for the starting 11, who do you believe in sitting on the bench who should start, and for whom should they start?

As for signing a DP, Frank would insert the player if that player was worth playing. Apparently, Puppo is not worth playing. I don't know if I agree with that statement or not, but I would rather have Rolfe play than Puppo.

I all depends on what position the DP plays, you would think if we do get a DP it would be a forward or attacking midfielder. But the way our front office works they'll sign a defender or goalkeeper as our DP.

If it's a forward then Oduro sits.
If it's a attacking midfielder then Pause sits.

What are we talking about, there's never going to be a DP on this team? Puppo and MacDonald don't count (because of transfer fee's make then DP's). So for some reason we do sign a DP it will be our 3rd we will have to pay a extra $250,000 to sign that DP.

I think Alex needs to start. I have loved what I have seen from him so far. Sit Nyarko maybe?-

    This.

There is nothing inherently wrong with this formation given that we really need need two d-mids to cover our back line even with Arne and Berry in the game. If Anibaba starts as a center mid, having two d-mids is our only possible option - and we pray the other team doesn't get a lot of corners given Jalil's man marking problems. Another problem is we need Gargan and Sega to stay closer to home with Anibaba in there to provide extra coverage which limits our offense.

Up top, we really need Pappa and Rolfe to attack the opponent's PK area when they are the weak side attacking mid. Oduro can't do it alone especially when our defensive weaknesses limit our attack.

After watching Alex yesterday I think he covers enough ground to take a chance with a one D-Mid formation. I'd like to see another game or two first but he was all over the place. That said, if he stayed a bit more central and our wings covered the outside, we'd be set.

The only problem with it is that It needs a real striker to take advantage of the flair behind him, of which Pappa, Alex and Rolfe could create plenty. Maybe MacDonald can be that guy.

Then that team would be incredible, with Nyarko, Oduro and (hopefully one day soon) Grazinni all ready to rotate in.

Well, Grazzini is gone, Alex is still gelling with the rest of the team, and we don't have anyone better than Oduro at the moment so "incredible" will have to wait. Actually, to really be "incredible" we'd also need an upgrade over Nyarko to someone who can both get to the touchline AND shoot.

Both Oduro and Nyarko need a break. Start Puppo up top and Rolfe on the wing and bring the others in later.

Actually, Rolfe's shite pass that lead to Arne's second yellow just got him benched. Start Robayo.

I swear, this club is THE worst at keeping its supporters informed. Multiple Spanish language outlets say he is gone, but no official word from the club or no statement claiming the reports are false?

Frank said after practice his move to Millos wasn't final. That is an official statement claiming the reports are false.

It's just not final until the plane door is closed and the plane pulls away from the gate

Will we make money on this at least? He was a free right, so any transfer fee would be profit? Or are we going to just rescind his contract and get nothing from his time here?
