Re: GAME 12: Fire @ crap 6/27/10 [R] I know it's fun to put nicknames of the opponents in the subject title, but I think you need to be a little more specific than "crap". That could mean upwards of 11 or 12 different teams.
Yes. I also would've accepted boston baked crap or steve nicol's overly defensive crap or i hate jay heaps crap.
No one knows the Thorrington story right? 5 months to heal a strain doesn't tell what is really going on.
While I'm looking forward to the Fire getting underway again I'm concerned with the fixture / schedule congestion this week after the long layoff. 6/27 @ Revulsion - then travel back to Toyota Park... 6/29 USOC vs Charleston - then travel to... 7/3 @ C-bus. Ugh.
John's status uncertain: De los Cobos said Thursday following training that it was highly unlikely that forward Collins John will be available for Sunday's match. John is not on the MLS Injury Report, but he missed training Thursday and the Fire organization still is not divulging the exact reason for John's continual health setbacks. The offseason signing has one goal and one assist through nine league games, four as a starter. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/fire/post/_/id/408/mls-play-resumes-at-new-england-sunday

Yes I believe so. But I really can't see why they resigned him in the first place. He never did well, and that was before he was out a full year with his injuries. My feeling is that in MLS you never know who you might sign for 40k/year who will turn out to be a really good player for your club, so why resign guys who you know aren't going to be impact players and are probably never going to see the field, even if healthy.
