I'm disappointed by this board getting dangerously close to a Barcelona circle jerk in the last thread.

    I didn't realize that having a non-existent midfield was a strength. ;)

Well, it's functional.. just about.. but with Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez* we have a completely different way of going about games and anything we do should revolve around getting those three as involved as possible.

Any doubts people might've had about the need for a top quality CM should have been eliminated, however.

    *when he's on.

Is there any hope of us reverting back to a midfield two whose sole job is to shield the back 4 as well as maintain possession whilst allowing our attacking '4' to do their thing? Or should I just wait for us to get a continental manager?

Figured as much. I'll just allow this 4-4-2 illness to run its course, it has to end some time. Hopefully until then we can continue to stumble onto success!

Bet only Zinni boy cares, but Maurice Edu scored a winner today for Rangers. Maybe he'll get some time in central midfield with this winner and Ferguson's absence.

Precisely. Hiddink was smart about this actually. The commentators were repeating how many giveaways Lampard had and just how ineffective he was. Meanwhile without him, Chelsea wouldn't have had all the opportunities they did. It was interesting really because Essien and Lampard did much of the physical running while Ballack took on Alonso's role and sprayed balls forward, laterally. His pass to Malouda for their third goal was sublime. Most were beginning to doubt Chelsea's ability to remain a super power, but all this time it was purely managerial, the personel was always there. Methinks even with Essien back, Scolari would have found a way to ******** this side up.

He picked up an injury against Wolfsburg. I feel sorry for him and a few others worthy of notice in that team. It needs a massive overhaul.

He also put Drogba through which Drogba blazed over the bar, Chelsea should have won by atleast 4 goals.

Every time Rafa comes out with stuff about Sir Alex, they crash. May he never stop talking about his inferiority complex.

At the Porto match a bunch of idiots came out wearing blue but they were all yanks so I was wondering why so many Porto supporters. They cheared Porto of course, but the next day most of them showed up in Liverpool kits. I laughed my ass off at them.

There is this kid in my Global Politics Tutorial that once wore an Arsenal kit, a Tottenham kit, a Liverpool kit and a Chelsea kit all in one week. I think i've seen the guy wear a liverpool zip up with an arsenal scarf.

    like wtf?

Well if he's actually a Liverpool fan and is showing support for his team despite their suckitude, I guess you can't fault him too much. Other than that he's a Liverpool fan, of course.

People like this, on the other hand, are clearly just interested in wearing kits for the fashion, and they probably admit as much. Still lame though.

Gerrard is invisible in a big match. And suddenly claims he was actually carrying an injury.

I think this has happened before.

Why is it lame to wear kits of other teams that you dont support?

I would like to collect a ton of kits, minus Liverpool and City.

Rivals teams is kind of weird though.

I've got a bunch of kits too from teams I don't necessarily care for. They're good for playing soccer or wearing when I travel.
