Yet another blow to Monaco...... http://www.soccernet.com/europe/news/2002/0811/20020811monacogallardo.html
I would only be upset about this injury if Moncao was currently playing in the Champs.league or uefa cup because it would hurt their chances but since they're not playing in europe now I don't care about the injury because I want Nantes to win the league title.
he's a lousy coach. He scared away Bierhoff. French League can't afford to be losing big name players like that because of stupid reasons.
They are saying 6 weeks now... it could worse.... http://www.soccernet.com/europe/news/2002/0813/20020813gallardo.html
Oliver Bierhoff is not at his prime and I did not find him to be that impressive for Monaco. Shabani Nonda is a far better striker. Good riddance Oliver.. I don't think Monaco or the French League benefits from past their prime players. Maybe it was the ghostly echos across a nearly empty Stade Louis II that scared away Oliver. But... I am more inclined to think that he left because he was mad his compatriot and Monaco supporter Boris Becker did not invite him to join fancy Monaco social circles.
