So I tune into tonight's Galaxy-Rapids match on the Shootout and it turns out the original broadcast is from Channel 22 in LA (KWHY), which is a Spanish-speaking network. I have no problem with it since I'm fluent, just wondering if this is the first time an MLS team has had local TV broadcast in Spanish put on the Shootout.
I think it is. Did you get a message across the bottom of your screen that this was a "bonus match" too? I don't speak Spanish, but I don't care because I'm used to tuning out announcers.
Re: Re: Galaxy vs. Rapids: Shootout match en Espanol HOLA? I've got DirecTV, do I have this game? I cant find it.
ditto. i have a stupid "pay-per-view events are shown on this channel" on my screen when the guide says MLS Soccer.
Been watching it, too. Cool. I'm like monster, I have no problem putting the sound low and listening for whistles and inflection and crowd noise and stuff and tuning out the announcers. This game could have been in English and it wouldn't have made a lick of difference in my enjoyment of it. They just showed that Chris Albright is the "Jugador Mas Valioso" for tonight. Is anyone there chanting "J-M-V! J-M-V!" ?
