We owe the Goons the favor of beating them at home this year since they so kindly illustrated for us last year what a disaster of a season it was.

Let's hope it's more like 2002 than 2003 for us.

Let's also hope that our away form improves from our away game vs. the Metrosexuals, which was barely viewable sub-A-League crap.

    GO GALAXY!!!

Thankfully, Ante and The Girls now have a real pitch, not a pool table.....

Based on last night's performance, here's my suggested starting lineup for Sunday's game in Chicago:

    ---------------------Popik------------------------
    Albright-----Thompson------Aloisi----------Marshall
    --------That Trainer-Dude Who Looks Tough-------
    My Sister---------Klinsmann-------------Gardner
    -------------Torres--------Dammit!---------------

Substitutes: Topper and TequilaJoal (one red card a piece to take out Beasley and Damani) and if we really, really get desperate and no one from the Riot Squad is willing to get on the field, then Bo.

Or, maybe, just maybe, the guys are so embarrassed and pissed off from last night that they'll actually show up to play this Sunday. Let's see...

I refuse to be paired up front with Torres.

PLease, no more references to last week, I am trying to hide in this thread.

Call me negative, probably because of last night, but add this game to our losing streak.

what's up with the galaxy defense this year? I think Bo needs to start. He added a lot of organization in the back last year.

This has to be one of the funniest posts I have ever seen and I agree completly! This next game has the making of another thrashing if the Galaxy don't get their act together.

I'm sure Trickhog is very flattered but...exactly how many posts have you seen?

Anyways, welcome aboard, hopefully not to a sinking ship.

We're going to get hammered by Chicago. We just don't have the horses to stop a Ralph / Razov combo. Razov by himself almost beat us at home.

I predict 1 of 2 things happening to the Galaxy:
    1) A lot of inept passing, inability to maintain any sort of possession, complete and utter collapse in the midfield, few shots on goal, Kiro invisible and ineffective, Ruiz diving with a couple of "should have finished" shots, route 1 ball from beginning to end, and a 4-0 (at least) drubbing by Chicago.

    - or -

    2) In desperation, Sigi reverts back to Sigi 2003 ball, we bunker in, hope for that lone, against the run-of-play goal, and cling desperately to the lead and try to bleed the clock.

I just hope the team makes the decision to play like MEN immediately following the whistle. I'm sick of these "pros" sandbagging their way through games. If they are not embarassed by recent performances and do whatever it takes to correct the situation, then I hope they all get fired in the offseason and we start over with an AYSO select team.

    You of Little Faith!

So we had a few bad games. LA isn't falling into the ocean yet. It's time to get behind the team, not boo them and give up!

I don't reward lack of effort with cheers. That's where I draw the line between being a fan and being a critic.

Play your ass off and lose - fine, no problem with that.

Sandbagging your way through games (emphasis on the plural) - that's bullsh!t and deserves no support.

You've already got me starting between Albright and Aloisi.

But, yes, I will gladly kick the piss out of Razov.

    Ha-Ha.. too much

This post is funny, I dont know about Topper, but the only way I'm going to catch beasley or Ralph is in a ferrari. Is there any way I can come off the bence and just punch Razov in the Face ?

It would definately help his looks !!!

I was just imagining you two in the stands with a BB Gun.

Disclaimer: I am not advocating sniperings of opposing players.

agreed. as a fan i cheered all throughout last year and through the crap of the last 4 games, paying for the home games. the galaxy has used up all of my cheering reserves. they need to know that the current performance is not good enough.

as lalas once said about the riot squad, "they've earned the right to boo".

    ---

these next two games are going to be a real test of our character. we'll be playing arguably the best two teams in the league, if we get points out of them i think we have a chance at winning the shield. if we get less than three points we finish 3rd in the west and get booted in the semi finals.

No Cobi for Sunday (concussion from Wed.). They expect Ngwenya to start in his place.

there are two guys that play like Cobi, IMO; Ngwenya, and Davids
they seem so alike! whenever i watch Ngwenya he reminds me of Cobi in his younger days when he had great quckness with him, and also Edgar Davids, he reminds me of Cobi with more skills, but Cobi still faster i think

Galaxy is running out of gas.. they not scoring well in last 2 games!

Cobi and Davids I can see a resemblance. But Ngwenya, so far, isn't nearly as physical, which is what I think he needs to improve.

Also, defense has been our problem, not offense, especially since our losing streak began. We need to get Bo and Marshall on the field. (for Suarez and Lewis) Can Marshall play outside right? How would Marshall,Califf,Bo,Broome line up?

Well, for the last 2 matches, offense has been a problem as we only scored 1 goal by a gift PK. I mean 4 forwards were on the pitch Wed. and couldn't get a shot off from what I recall.

Marshall and Suarez are listed as doubtful per the Galaxy, but didn't list Albright on the list so we'll probably see him at RB and Broome at LB and possibly Marshall/Califf or Bo/Califf in the middle.

Apparantly Cobi is out due to a neck strain.

The doctor summarizes the situation very nicely.

I do think, however, that an Albright, Califf, Marshall (Bo), Broome backline will give us some life, if they learn to play together quickly.

Part of the problem has been we get scored on first, and then it's bunker time for the other side. If we can keep from getting scored on in the first half once in a while...jeezz
