X is pretty dangerous in the air. If he can becks can stay healthy congruently, X might get a couple goals.

Have the announcers said anything about Capello? Is he at the stadium?

Capello's number 2 is supposed to be there, not Capello himself. I haven't heard the announcer say anything.

If Pires is the "The Buffalo", then Gordon is "The Ostrich".

Could have been worse, could have been better. We should still be able to win this game. What subs would you guys want to see?

During pre-season we've improved after every single half of football...until now.

We conceded a late corner, but kept them in check. Last year we would have given up a goal going into halftime.

We haven't seen Sesay in a while, wouldn't mind seeing him get some run at some point in the game. Maybe McDonald or Pete V for one of the center mids. I would also rather see Wicks out there for the 2nd half, but I doubt thats going to happen.

this is the first match i've been able to watch of LA, apart from the last 10 minutes or so of the f.c. seoul match.

overall not bad. i'm actually fairly impressed with gordon, his first touch, dribbling, vision and passing have improved immensely since last year. i'm liking the fact that with rare and justified exception we're not playing boot the ball and hope! also liking the fact that guys are shooting, accuracy aside we've been gun shy in front of goal for way too long. it's about time we see players "shoot the damn ball". now work on the accuracy.

our backline wasn't as bad as i was expecting, but vanney appears to be the weakest link.

beckham has looked sub-standard, still has great vision, but he's looked a step slow. maybe he's nursing an injury - i guess we'll see if he makes the second half.

    Some spots I thots

    Why isn't Ruiz Playing?

LA looks some much better with LD

Vanney is an idiot and is slow

Am I only one not impressed with Becks corners so far?

If Dallas was playing with Alvarez and Toja in the middle would we even be touching the ball?

And if Cooper wasn't such a fat ass, would dallas be up 2 or 3 nil by now?

Gordon doesnt look impressive without another forward to basically do all the work, the running into space, taking defenders off of him, I guess Alan cant score a goal unless he is offsides, and he needs carlos ruiz to take the attention of the sideline ref to do so.

Is this what the galaxy looks like without a true #10 in the middle of pitch?

I'm really happy with what I've seen from Randolph in midfield so far. Mostly good passes, keeps opponents on their toes because he's willing to pass or take the dribble. Almost forgot Donovan was on the field until that great shot.

And if I hear anything about "switching the point of attack" one more time I'll throw my computer out the window... or learn to use the mute button.

I'm worried about the outside defense. It seems like teams are going to be sending in a lot of unmarked crosses into the box.

who is the guy from Dallas who did the throw away? Man, he threw the ball for half of the field , twice. Was he a quarter back before playing soccer?

I think Donovan was great during the second part of the first half.
