Slot doesn't seem to care about his job. We needed a goal and he puts in Cody instead of Rio. He's going down with his boys.

Way too much bad news bears play. We need to be much better than this. And enough with the stupid fouls.

Yup, it looks like this squad and this manager have pretty much found their level. Gotta hold on to the hope that we somehow manage to sneak into the CL places by the end of the season.

It's really amazing the difference between Klop's team of fit, mentally tough players compared to what we are watching today...

How many "really good" chances do we need to score a goal?
How many shots did we take today that did not even hit the target - and how many of them were pretty wide open shots? (Looking at you Flo ;))
And how many games have we given up one or two shots on target and also given up one or two goals?

We've been saying all season that we have trouble playing against a team that sits deep and defends, and then gets a goal on the counter...right? We need to play against a team that "comes out and plays"...

Well, we got our wish today, and we pretty much got it handed to us...very ineffective on the the offensive side and full of holes on the defense.
Oh - and can somebody please ask Konate to quit grabbing his player when he's defending?

    OK - rant over...I think...

Awful performance from everyone save Mamardashvili. How we escaped only losing one nil is down to him and luck. If we destroy them at Anfield, and that's a big 'if', it won't matter, but that was terrible in almost every way. Home pitch advantage in Turkiye is real.

Oshimemn predictably gave us fits. What a waste that he went to Turkey.

Didn’t watch the game but was going to reply with the same. Slow and lethargic all season.

You're forgetting the title winning year with Klopp when we were oneof the three or 4 best teams ever in Premier League football. 26wins out of 27 games before a loss..... wasn't that Gomez? Or was it Joel?

Referee was poor. We were worse. DAZN commentary was worst.

Ekiteke was unlucky though. Nice save, but if he opens his body and sidefoots the finish instead to the corner, goalkeeper is already planted .... but, taht's world class 50-50 choices of finishing there. No blame. Just would have been nice to get the draw

There goes my theory that Wirtz makes us much better. Flo and Ekitike should've scored.

It's decisions like this that have led to me being Slot out.

I think Wirtz was rusty - he's only played 20 mins in the last 3 weeks.

Awful performances from pretty much everyone. I thought Gomez was least bad but that's not saying much. Gala's GK gave our attack better passes than our midfield and of course they wasted every opportunity. Wirtz is still a man lost, Macca turns the ball over at every chance, Gravenberch adds nothing, Salah can't get around his man and Ekitike blasts every shot at the keeper.

Team is lost and Slot still has no answers. I said Rio deserved a chance today but he got nada.

He had that one season where he got a run in the team (because Joel was injured) and performed well. But he was carried by a prime VvD and Fab/Hendo and as soon as Joel was fit again the next season, it was Joel in as first choice.
He's played under three different LFC managers in teams that have challenged for/won titles, and that is only time he's ever had a run of games at CB, with all three managers preferring to play him at FB.

Forgotten the ‘colour guys’ name but he has a history of digging at Liverpool.

    As for the game….”BUGGERS

So you're saying he has had a run of games at CB. In teams that had good seasons.

Maybe it's just me, but isn't that a fairly strong indicator he is actually a decent CB?

I think it is probably his injury woes that have hampered any ability to be considered a primary CB for us. Probably as much as any other place on the field, the communication and anticipation in the final line of defense is going to be key. Same goes for GK. Those 3-5 players have to know and anticipate each others moves with extreme efficiency. These traits are needed elsewhere on the field as well, but the consequences of being wrong, just once, are not as big.

Yeah, they do a lot of grabbing or pushing. They’re just slow.
