From what I've played of Galactic Civilizations so far (it hit store shelves yesterday), I would say that it's much better. That's not to say that MOO3 is necessarily a bad game, but GalCiv seems to be much more user-friendly... it seems less like a spreadsheet (like MOO3) and more like a game. What are your impressions of the two games? -G
I have read and heard that MOO3 is all AI and you really don't play that much it cpu does it all for ya. GC looks good I just hope it lets you play.
I think that you are right about MOO3. And so far, GC does feel much better... of course, I've only had a little bit of time to play it, but from what I've played of it so far I really do like it. And there's already a downloadable bonus pack available at the GC's website, to boot! -G
I splurged on Galactic Civilizations since everyone it's saying it's so great. So far, I don't follow. It just doesn't seem that deep to me. I've never played a space civ game before so does anyone have any tips?
Use the Stardock Central program included with the game (make sure that you've got the latest version installed) to upgrade (i.e. patch up) the game to Version 1.03, as well as to install the latest version of the Bonus Pack. Hopefully that'll help. -G
Gee where the ********** have I been? I never got past the 1st MOO!!! Played a little bit of MOO 2. Liked it better than MOO 1, better everything, didn't know there was a MOO 3. THat's what I get for not having a computer at home!!!
