Interview from the site http://www.fcbayern.t-com.de/en/news/news/2004/02181.php?fcb_sid=c983cb1e9931305ea857cf6c79ce9f98 I see he went to the notable Dr. Steadman, who I think also worked on Deisler and other european football players. They inserted a plastic ligament. I had never heard of this procedure, quite interesting. Some tid bits below "fcbayern.de: Can anyone estimate how long you need before returning to team training and playing? Görlitz: "No, it's still too early. We have to wait at least two months. Normally you need six months before playing again after this injury." fcbayern.de: What do you have to do over the next few weeks and months? Görlitz: "I have a lot of hard work ahead. I'll spend my mornings and afternoons on rehab training, which includes physiotherapy, lymph drainage and other special routines. I don't think I'll have time to get bored." Good luck to him--I am coming out of some serious knee surgery myself (January) and still have a couple of months before I can be considered 100%
great talent... was really disappointed when i heard of his injury and hope he gets back soon... germany seems to have some pretty decent RB options... friedrich, hinkel, gorlitz, volz... gorlitz is great backup for sagnol too (who seems to be slipping a bit, lately)
\ Actually I felt the two of them were starting to form some rhythm on the right side of the field together. Unfortunately, his injury made Magath change his lineup on that side of the field and set the team back a few weeks in the process. Fortunately, because of the injury, Magath has solidified a lineup that is going out and finding results... not just results but victories. It will be tough I dare say now for Ze Roberto and Deisler to find minutes with the current form of the team. Gorlitz I feel will have no problem getting back into the mix once healthy as he is a great backup for Sagnol (as you so wisely mentioned) and is still young. Here's to a speedy recovery AG!
