A quick note on Pizzeria Uno---that's where we tell tourists to go, so it keeps the wait down at the places we DO like to go.
Since there are a lot of Chicagoans reading this thread that might agree with me, I'll throw out Potbelly's.
Definetly, Potbelly's (just found a new one near my office) is a great place. I got to also give a vote to Chicago pizza stalwart Giordano's.

My only problem with Potbelly's is that the sandwiches are a little small. What constitutes a chain? 2 stores? 10? 20?. If you're in the Loop, I'd recommend Mangino's over Potbelly's.
I can think of at least 4 in the Loop. I think there's one in Naperville, too, and I'm sure there are a couple on the North Side.
They probably all do. I work in Illinois Center, and I rarely go to the one in there for lunch (too crowded). I'll go there for dinner if I'm working late (empty).
Re: Lou Malantis Lou Malnoti, or whatever? There's one right in the River North area right by where I work (sushi samba)....havent tried it yet...I expected the best pizza places to be mom and pop, but since this place is getting hype, maybe I'll try it before leaving for Italy?
