Suprised no one has picked up on this... If they have, I haven't seen it posted and I haven't seen it broadcast. Winston Griffiths has an outstanding balance on his debit card. In what was a historic match for New England this season (http://www.mlsnet.com/games/02/0525lane.html), (SN's first and the winning-side of our split with LA this season) Winston Griffiths scored his only goal of the season... for LA... against the Revs. The way I see it, he now has a 0-1 debt pending. (Not saying SN should start him... let me say that again, NOT saying we start him, but...) wouldn't it be some story of poetic justice to have him subbed in around the 80th minute and score the game winner (or at least a Galaxy-destroying insurance goal) to clear that debt? FDA: there's a story here somwhere!
its funny you mention that, because it was him who scored in that game. ironic isnt it? i wonder how he feels in general on playing against LA......i hope he hates them like the rest of us do. cheers, fiero
He's got a chance since there's no plane for him to catch. Make sure he knows he has to get to the stadium early and that the game is on Sunday.
