Reading the poll VS had on Bautista and mendoza i wonderd What young striker is in store for us in the 2006 wc .. We had soo many awsome strikers to Luis Hernandez , CuauhTemoc Blanco , Jarred Borgetti , Fransisco Palencia..

What are the future strikers going to be?

Who do you think is going to be the best future striker ?

Future Star Striker for "EL TRI"

It is difficult to say. De Nigris and Bautista to me would be the main candidates. Then Ochoa if he is able to suceed in Spain. There are players like Rafa Marquez and Iniguez that are still trying to prove themselves, we shall wait and see if they can deliver. Also i would NOT have Mendoza on the list, he hardly ever scores. I dont think he can even be called a striker.

How quickly you forget VS....Mendoza did score 7 goals with Chivas.... that inidcates if he is put in the position to score... that he is able to.... but he plays the wing or behind the forward with America. I see him as one of the go to guys as soon as Hernandez and BamBam leave.

De Nigris? I take you you are not mr current affairs. Passarrela benched his assss. And what I dont get..... Who the hell does Toño have to be worried about...

    I like Iñiguez.

MArquez is too raw for me. He has the tools.

I think Danny Boy still has a shot still. HE was Mezazised

I am not impresses with Jair Garcia. I just dont see him with the tools... He does hustle though.

Oh, man, the fun one can have when you go into BS dusty vaults and read the peepy topic of yesteryear... :D
Ah, the memories... that psycho bum who lived inside a long john silver dumpster Toot instigated this poll.

    Poll Options
    Future Star Striker of Mexico?
    Adolfo Bautista
    Antonio De Nigris
    Carlos Ochoa
    Jesus Mendoza
    Jair Garcia
    Rafael Marquez
    Iniguez - morelia

How does it feel to be... um... WRONG!?!?!?!?!?!?!
4 years later, is any of these guys playin' the world cup? Nope. :D
We could argue about Bautista, though.
Other than that... well, I needed a good laugh.
    SALUD!

wow, none of those guys made it to the Cup. Arguably, el Bofo and Ochoa had a chance as well as Marquez.

None of them panned out, I guess the rise of Fonseca and Bravo obscured them all.

Esquivel will always score if he comes from the wing, or a little behind the other forwards, because his marker won't be able to follow his running pace, so he will be almost always free to score. This is why Bravo and Medina are able to score, too.
Putting him between the two opponent's central defenders from the beginning of the game is not very brilliant, though.

    Nah.. gansito is like 47.
Though, if you look at my past posts you will see that my U17 blue chipper is NOT Vela, nod Dos Santos, but Araujo, Of all the hopefuls out there, there's only one striker kid I'd fear if I was a defender.....

    Ever Guzman.
I don't know if he'll make it, but he sure is one ballsy striker who knows what he's doing and sure is hungry.
You never know what's gonna happen.

IMO I don't think Bofo nor Tonho should be on the list because they've already reach their max. potential.

    why no Vela?

Pato Araujo is not a striker, he's a midfielder.

Well if taking a look at this old poll teaches us anything, it's that we probably have no idea who the strikers are going to be four years from now.

out of those guys, Bofo is the best! though, he is not really forward.

as of now though, i think the great future strikers for El Tri are:
    1 - Landin
    2 - Carlitos Vela
    3 - Ever Guzman
    4 - Edwin Borboa
