I don't want to get into the argument over whether he is worth two beans on the pitch or not. You can have an opinion or not have an opinion, but really nobody knows yet whether he will be the next Pele or the next Diego Forlan. But this article in the International Herald Tribune today about Freddy Adu lists Real and Arsenal as "the two clubs he admires." I'd love to see him join Simek and Karbassiyoon at the club in about 6 or 7 years. http://www.iht.com/articles/513596.html OK, now back to more immediate matters....
2 things I must mention. 1. If he is as good as everyone THINKS he will be, of course I would love to have him in a Red and White kit for the glorious North London club. 2. I'm thrilled that he puts Arsenal in the same category as Real Madrid. I still believe that until we win the Champions League, many supporters from around the world of other clubs will never truly respect us as a powerhouse force in football....just my humble opinion.
Adu is an unproven quality, but if he becomes what everyone says he could be then... I too would love for him to be playing on the pitch at Asburton Grove.
I guess we have more in common with real than we thought. I never would have bet on both arsenal and real both going out in the qtrs. gp p.s.-I feel like ass
