I forgot to post this yesterday but Guatemala futsal won the uncaf tournament (qualification to the premundial in Costa Rica this May), I'll be honest I only watched the semifinal against el salvador and the final against panama but we were the best team (ganamos todos los juegos).

Even if you don't wanna watch the highlights I strongly recommend to watch at least guatemala's second goal, wanderley ruiz hizo un penal de fantasia.

Overall we should be favorites to take one of 4 tickets to the world cup in colombia though we have to improve our concentration and discipline since in the two games I saw we either reach the 6th foul or would commit them too early (for those who don't know in futsal after the 6th foul the other team gets something of a penalty opportunity for every foul we commit after the 6th ).

I'm glad you posted this! I saw it but I didn't have time to post about it.

This is the only team that makes us proud. I was surprised by Panama, their ascent is not only exclusive to 11 men football but also in futsal.

Who are your favorites to quality?? I would pick GUA, CRC, PAN, CUBA.

To me the two favorites are guate and costa rica. The other 2 would be between Cuba/mexico/panama and to a lesser extent maybe usa (if they even make it).

Honestly panama is way too aggressive which might benefit regular soccer but not futsal. Though I am guessing they don't have the resources or infrastructure we have so what they've accomplished is outstanding.

Dude it gets me mad knowing that we have the greatest resources (money mainly) in central america yet we rarely reap the rewards in soccer, while we see how great planning and vision makes us competitive in other branches

Groups for the premundial in Costa Rica:

    Group A:
    1. Guatemala
    2. T&T/Honduras
    2. Mexico
    3. Panama.

    Group
    1. Costa Rica
    2. Curacao
    3. Cuba
    4. Canada/USA

    * We got a complicated group but we're still favorites.

    * If canada defeats the US, group B will solely contain countries which begin with the letter "c" (yes this my only "analysis of group B :') )

    Awesome, this will be interesting.

I think Guate and Panama will advance but Mexico might surprise.

Costa Rica and Cuba will definitely advance from group B.

Yeeaaaah.....saw alot of people with the same reaction to that score. Sounds like we played without any cohesion.

    Idk man it was either

Overconfidence, lack of mental fortitude ( first time the qualifiers are outside of guate) or just bad day at the office ....but who knows.

3-2 Guatemala winning with 8:21 left. We're playing very sloppy. No sense of urgency and attack is non existent. Very lackadaisical play on our part most of the game. Wouldn't be surprised if Mexico ties it.
