I don't think this is just about money though. @Harambe Alvinegro is right; this is also about Neymar taking the next step in his career. Barça is Messi's team, and by the time it isn't due to his decline, Neymar will be helming a top-heavy, poorly-run team, with a declining Messi and a declining Suarez tying up a ton of wages with the likes of Andre Gomes behind him. I'm sure Neymar has ambitions of being seen as the best player in the world, and to a certain dgegree that means having a team with a lot of talent to feed him as the focal point. PSG with Neymar are a better team than Barcelona with Neymar, with practically limitless transfer resources at their disposal, Neymar as the focal point, and multiple Brazillians on the team that he probably considers his friends. It's a great situation to potentailly win a CL and a Ballon d'Or. And for all your handwringing about greed, if a job offered you more money, would you not take that into consideration? Of course you would.
I am dreaming too much but it would be nice if Philippe Coutinho would come to PSG, then we would have a very cohesive Seleção ready for 2018! I still think Lucas Moura can contribute a lot to the NT...
Not sure if the PSG transfer will go through, but it would be an excellent career choice for Neymar to go to PSG from Barca and then to Real if the opportunity presents itself. PSG provides the next logical step (promotion) in his career and in 2 years or so when CR7 is done, he moves to Real to lead that team. He doesn't owe his career to Barca if they cannot provide him with the position he deserves. Barca is a weird team where one player calls all the shots. He decides who will take which FK, who will take which penalty, who will pass to whom etc. The situation has become better of late as Neymar has been able to assert himself, but he cannot keep doing that for another 4 years. I haven't seen a situation like Barca before (at a world-class club). Even during the galactico period of Real Madrid, no single player called all the shots, not R9 nor ZZ. There was mutual respect and compromise, not fawning over one guy or another.
Just this process? Would this really be news to you? So you go to PSG? When is the last time a PSG player was best in the world? When is the last time the best player im the world played in a league like this French League? How can you become better by moving to a league with a lot less quality?
I saw Luscescu got hired by the Turkish NT and was wondering what happened to him at Zenit. He got fired. Looks like he couldn't even handle the Russian league after all those years in the cushy confines of Ukraine. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/players-abroad-2015-16-r.2020995/page-4#post-33353582
I could see things changing in the transfer market after this Neymar deal goes through. Wouldn't surprise me if some sort of transfer cap gets implemented soon.

Guess who didn't have the rights for La Liga and has the rights for the French League through next year ... Plim Plim ...
Anyone see Monaco today ? I turn on the game they are down 2 to 1 but it was 3-2 within minutes. Jorge looking good , mengao might not like his positioning but an assist , some blow bys, and winning balls in the midfield. Pretty good in only 30 minutes. And we already know about mbape. Dudes borderline unplayable when he floats out to the wing
Has that guy skywalker ever ate crow ? And turkey is a pretty good job to judge a manager imo. We'll see him exposed.
None at all. Luiz Adriano is floundering around and Luscescu couldn;t even hold it down in Russia. Shakhtar had a 14 point difference over the second place team after 22 games. Not even Corinthians has such a lead after an insane stretch. That league is BAD.
I've broken down and I am actually watching PSG and Ligue 1. I just can't stand not watching the craque ... Dani Alves @Mengão86
As I feared, Neymar is going to roam through the middle. Probably one of the things he really wanted, more freedom on the field.
He is playing like he used to play before Tite. He is sort of trying to play like Messi plays for Barca.
Neymat looks good but his attack partners are playing poorly. Cavani is one of the reasons I'm skeptical about PSG champions league chances.
