LOL... She throws that little tidbit at me at the end of the 3rd date, so needless to say, I was stunned. She doesn't really follow Mizzou that much from what I can tell so far. If she was sporting Tiger gear all the time then that might be a problem, but she didn't even know about the MU/CU game yesterday nor seemed to excited when I told her they won. And she didn't even rub it in my face about MU beating Colorado and KU losing. So it ain't all that bad.
The Supreme Court of the United States upheld a decision to mandate that students with diabilities be educated alongside those students without disabilites. After reading those few posts on that thread its easy to understand why. GO TIGERS!
So what you're saying is that Derek is merely upholding the law of the land? Kudos to Derek. You are doing your country a great service!
As someone who has lived in Chapel Hill and Durham for most of the last 20 years I can say that, yes, Tarholes and Dookies are know to cohabitate - and even procreate.... What's even more common is that students will get an undergrad degree at one of the two schools, then do their graduate work at the other. Amazing. There's an ugly trait in the ACC. They tend to pull for eachother against non-conference foes. "If the ACC does well, it makes us look better." I just don't understand that line of thinking. I don't want the Jayhawks image built on the success of the Sooners or Tigers. To heck with that.
F that, I'm sure as hell not rooting for other Big XII teams unless there is something in it for Kansas. Down the home stretch of the tourny last year, I found myself rooting for Oklahoma and Missouri just so KU could have the chance to kick their ass in the big dance, cause we could have. I don't think I've rooted for Texas once in my entire life.
Good game. I'm not happy with the result of course. But the game in Columbia holds promise. Enjoy it for now Jayhawks. GO TIGERS!!!
I grew up in columbia, both my parents graduated from MU, and I'm a jayhawk. People look at me like I'm crazy all the time. When i was in Vegas last month, I was at the blackjack table with a girl from KCMO, and she asked my how I rooted for the teams. I said I support KU in basketball and MU in football. Really, I root for either, and only choose a favorite when they go up against each other.
