Funniest Post Ever

i've been sitting here for at least 15 minutes trying to come up with something witty. i can't. i just can't. none of you fellow wizards posters know me, but i can tell you that i am NEVER at a loss for words... especially the written word. i would love to meet this person, if indeed it is a human being that wrote that, and shake his/her hand. simply amazing.

 

I dont think it really makes anyone angry. We know theres people out there that dont like us, and that choose not to stand with us. So be it. As long as you're not the one making these statement on this board, hence attacking many of the people on these boards, its cool. Although I'm pretty sure if anyone cared what was being said about us on kcwizards.com we'd go over there ourselves. I'm not sure theres a need for you to run back and forth between sites and tell each board what the other board says. Seems like you're just trying to start trouble to me.

And the people here dont care, as seen by the fact that no one has responded.

Sorry, I don't find it funny. Just kind of sad. There are people that go to games for some reason don't like the people that sit in 114. I don't understand why. Quite a bit of them just sit back and talk ***************. Hell even the Zardmeister came up to me last game and asked what the deal was between the cauldron and the misfits (the people who sit behind the goal). Truth is I don't know, hell I have even given some free tickets and sat with them through comets games, they are good people, and don't talk smack when I am around. Maybe they see the cauldron as rivals. Maybe they think that the cauldron as just a bunch of college kids getting drunk and being loud and rowdy who are a bunch of shirt grabbing glory hunters. I don't know, and frankly I don't care. What I do know is that when I sit in the cauldron I have a lot more fun when I do not. I have read a lot of internet smack over the past couple years, some of it quite humerous others just plain weak. That post fits in the latter category in my opinion. Most likely that post came from a Fire fan, maybe matt(gofire) here. He tends to go to a board where hardly anybody visits and talks smack to himself and the 7 wizards fans that read it.

 

For the record, I've said very similar things to JPNutter9 in email and PM and he doesn't seem to get the point. I'm very glad that some other posters besides moderators have voice similar opinions. I appreciate it guys.

Also, its about time to quit cutting JP some slack. I told him that its wise for new users to lay low. He hasnt listened. Keep it up and I'm going to report him. And thats going to carry a lot more weight than him reporting Andy.

Jokes about people dying a slow death from aids really isn't that funny. It reminds me of a joke of similar nature when the headliner at Sanford's Comedy Club made a joke about bringing the body of Jon Bennett up on stage and having sex with it. He got booed off the stage.

Boy that post lived up to the title of this thread for sure.

 

I believe that the "funny" part of the post was that the originator of the above stated "hate-chant" could not form a proper English sentence and therefore had no business mocking others. If you take it as a general idea; a borderline illiterate person mocking KC fans with incoherent insults about how they don't exist... it's kind of ironic.

I doubt 'nutter meant any harm by posting. The general idea is pretty ironic and therefore considered to be funny in some circles. I personally enjoyed it. Cheers.

 

These two statements are contradictory.

I made peace, read your email. But the "peace" involved you settling down a bit. I've left alone two threads you've started: one making fun of the Cauldron as a whole and another that was a personal attack on Spoon and I. In any other forum that would have been binned and reported immediatelly. So yes, I'm cutting you slack, but my patience is thin.

Most "boards" are places where mostly anonymous people post.

That's not the case here on most of BigSoccer, and especially in the KC Wizards forum.

Except for the occaisional troll, we all know each other. Many for years. We are not "exclusive". You are more than welcome to join in, but you have got to "respect" the folks that are here.

We're not looking to be "impressed" by insider knowledge or team access. Most of us are very computer saavy, and if we're interested in what's going on on other MLS boards, we're likely there.

This forum is definitely not just "The Cauldron", nor "The Mystics". There are all stripe of Wizard fans here. We support the Wizards. We also gripe and complain about the Wizards, but only because we wish they won every game 5-0.

Just "relax" and "chill out". Don't worry about starting your own threads, and definitely don't start any "polls". Just casually join in the other conversations. Say some disparaging things about the Dallas Burn and LA Galaxy, and you'll do alright.

We are not all friends here. Some of the regulars don't appear to even like each other, but we do, more or less, tend to respect each other's right to be here.

Don't act the matyr.

Don't use pejoratives - especially when referring to the unpaid, volunteer, moderators. Ben and Matt are Wizard fans. Are you with them? or agin 'em?

None of us, not me, not Dan Loney, not even Mike Segroves, are "god's gift to BigSoccer posters". If you don't know the unwritten rules, then pay attention and try to get along.

This is not the big anonymous collective shoutfests of most college boards, the ESPN boards, or Yahoo boards. This is mostly the collection of hardcore Wizard fans that started out as the Mystics in 1996 on an email list. We know each other.

You are welcome to join in. But you've got to do your part.
