That was funny when that guy ran onto the field, then while being chased ran into the net and was flung back from the force.
He did have a Barcelona flag and I did see him throw it, but I didn't notice that it was at Figo. If its true, this guy is even funnier than I first thought he was. That was classic. Instead of being caught by the police, he ran full speed and jumped into the back of the net.
Since most of their shots were way above the crossbar, this gentleman politely attempted to demonstrate to Portugal that the ball had to go INSIDE the goal to score.
He threw the Barca flag at Figo who doesn't have any friends anymore in Barcelona since he went to Real Madrid. And what a stupid face Figo made. World class. The guy's called Jimmy Jump, this is his homepage.
Classic moment and I will remember it forever. Had he kept running and jumped back into the stands he probably would have made it.
I know there is pretty much no way of getting away from the authorities once you do that, but I thought he could have evaded them for much longer. In the end, I'm glad he jumped into the net because that was frickin hilarious.
I was actually hoping that the guy jumping into the goal would break the jinx and get Portugal to follow suit with a ball into the back of the net. Carvalho's shot was oh so close, but not to be.....
So does anyone have a video of this? I gotta tell you, I nearly fell off my seat when I saw it. Jumping into the net was a classic move. How's he gonna top that the next time he runs onto the field?
Classic. Figo got so pissed that in his first play after the incident almost scores. It was barely deflected to the corner. What a day for Figo.
