Picked up a hat trick today against Juventus.

A-Frickin-Amazing. He's been taking it into overdrive lately. Does the club even need Mario Gomez now?

8 goals in 8 matches. So about that knee..............Rossi is picking the right time to get hot. Hopefully, he can ride that streak right into a permanent spot with the Azzuri.

I do like the idea of an American starting for Italy at the World Cup

It's not going to be that hard to beat out Osvaldo for a spot. The Confederations Cup squad there were so many players that likely will be replaced when the team goes to Brazil.

He's had that move down for a while: back to goal, turns his marker and rips a wicked left-footer on frame.

Several years ago I went to watch him when he was a 20 year old at Parma; he was on loan for that 2nd half of the season and practically saved the club from relegation single-handedly. Anyway, he didn' t score in that game (against Sampdoria), but I was really struck by how effortlessly he could receive the ball and turn his man, all in one quick, fluid movement.

The dip on that shot was outrageous. His third was stunning. Is he left footed?

Another 1 today. He really is at ease in Italy. Shame that he's susceptible to heavy injuries though

Glad to see him back on top form after such horrendous injuries. I thought he was easily the 2nd best left footer in La Liga before his injuries

Yep, a PK. And was also very lucky to escape a booking for a dive in the box.

If he stays healthy, he'll play for Juve soon. They've always had their eye on him.

steve amonia (https://twitter.com/worldfootballcm) works in italian and english and often has a lot of great inside info on his twitter and site. he held an impromptu poll based on a question that a follower asked him the other day: if you could only take either balotelli or rossi, which would you take? he said most chose rossi and he was in agreement.

speaks volumes for the kid and shows the love he's getting.
