    Nice List

    [mandatory Adu comment]

Nice to see that Freddy is on board and will soon be cap-tied... at the latest during U-17 WC qualification ! CHA-CHING.

    [/mandatory Adu comment]

Also nice to see that U.S. Soccer is stepping up and providing the underlying funding for 30 spots. Money for this sort of residency doesn't grow on trees, you know?

There's a club from Pennsylvania that for some reason calls itself "Leeds United". I refereed their U-14 team in a tournament last weekend.

Re: Re: Full list of Bradenton Residency program players

Do you know who is missing? I'd like to see a list of all of them and their current playing situations (college, club, whatever).

I know there have been other players who have played with the U-17s, that were not in residency. Palomares and Diaz, for example.

Or there may be some who were in Bradenton at one time and left, and maybe this list doesn't include them.

I'll start with what I know off the top of my head, which doesn't include many college players. Please add names and fill in affiliations if you know them.

    Nelson Akwari* - MetroStars
    DaMarcus Beasley* - Chicago Fire
    Kyle Beckerman* - Colorado Rapids

    Update:

Mario Rodriquez is not listed on the Cal State Fullerton roster, so I'm not sure where he is playing/attending school this fall. However, his twin brother Marco is playing for the Titans.

  10. Hey, there's a kid from Waukesha, WI there. Tim Ward... Never heard of him before, but I must have seen him play.

Re: Re: Full list of Bradenton Residency program players

You asked why Danny K wasn't on the list of players in residency. I gave you the answer. Were you actually asking a different question than the one you wrote, such as "Why wasn't Danny K. in residency"?

so sorry. the inferred question: why wasn't he picked to be a participant in the bradenton residency program? i'm assuming these are all potential u17 -u20 players.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Full list of Bradenton Residency program players

I don't know the definitive answer to that question, though in the thread linked below one of his coaches says Danny had a knee injury a couple of years back and has only recently returned to full-speed. This might've prevented him from getting a residency offer. But of course there are other possible reasons as well, such as: he was never rated highly by the Bradenton people; he was rated highly, but not highly enough to get one of the tiny number of slots in Florida; he's a late bloomer; etc.
