So who's picking up the Shield???? Heard that some guy from I don't know what group was gonna pick it up. Not the Riot Squad or Galaxians????
Mike Bretan? Breton? I heard about some man named Mike Breton was going to pick it up. Isn't he the man who wanted to sue the Galaxy?
Okay, but where did you hear the Breton rumor? Is this just something he started, or is this from people who should actually know better saying "And in Norwood we'll hand the trophy off to Mike Breton for no very good reason"?
From years back on the Galaxian mailing list I picked up the following. Breton was originally a (founding?) member of Galaxians and may have had some official role in that group as an officer. For reasons not clear to me there was a falling out within Galaxians and Mike set up the "Ultras" group that used to dress in yellow and black striped shirts and sit in the southwest corner of the stadium. Ultras seem to have disappeared in that form and have not heard anything about Mike in several years. I do believe he was involved in the initial efforts by Sam Perrion (spelling?) and others to establish the Supporters Shield and was also involved in the supporters group conferences which took place at MLC Cup 2, 3. If nothing else, from the old mailing list, I picked up on the fact that Mike had loyal supporters and detractors and never the twain did meet.
As a "member" of the Riot Squad with no axe to grind against Mike (as I have never met him), I think this is utterly ridiculous. As far as I know he has no current affiliation with any of the L.A. groups. The person picking up the damn shield should be Ozzy the current leader of the Galaxians. If he wants company from the Riot Squad we would be happy to send someone. If he doesn't that's cool - the Galaxians have been around since the begining. Why a guy representing himself should pick up the SUPPORTERS Shield makes no sense to me.
Righty 'O!! Ozzy gets it and he has the entire LARS to back him up. As a member of RIOT SQUAD I also would like to add that Breton taking the Shield is his last attempt at beign anything in soccer......I say let him have it and imediately after he gets it, put him on a bus and send him to DC, hopefully the sniper will know what to do.

Michael has asked when he can expect delivery. And before you all react. Yes, it is very presumptive on his part considering San Jose has a great record at home...." This was before we defeated SJ.
