That actually wasn't even a great ball from Arfsten -- he's lucky it didn't get broken up. But Rossi reacted to it BEAUTIFULLY.
Where's @Hamburgler03? That last 15 minutes had a "we may never lose again" feel. /s A really needed home win.
1) a deserved win 2) but also LA was crap for the vast majority of the game. Much like NE last week, when they decided to really push, they created numerous chances. Defiantly better, but I still need to see us beat a good team that plays well before I get too excited .
Believe it or not, but we're actually up into the playoff positions with tonight's win. (Sure, it's only 9th, but still, enjoy it while we're in the top 9.)
Nearly 100 pass attempts for taha tonight. 90% accuracy. For comparison, in Nagbe's last game he had 53 with 98% accuracy. Incredibly high usage
I'll certainly take the win, but I'm no more convinced of anything than I was before. We had the game well in hand at home and nearly managed to blow it. This team, playing with this lineup and this formation hasn't figured out how to tighten up defensively when it needs to. But it's a step in the right direction, I guess.
We should be able to get a LOT better imo if we can find a creative 10 and a decent Mls striker in the summer window. We look terrible when teams push forward at us late because we have nobody who can break a team down and punish them for not dropping numbers. Maybe atl wants to end the latte lath experiment and we can pair him and a guy with a similar playing style to Martin ojeda (or Martin ojeda himself) to our squad.
Eh. I understand that sometimes the best defense is a better offense, but in our case, I think we actually need to improve the defense.
That was a much better game last night, though I was a little worried at the end. We met a guy in Contado's from New York who is trying to see all of the MLS teams in their home stadia--he's up to 22 with FC Food Lion coming this weekend. Was excited to see Reus again (saw him play for Gladbach back in the day), but he didn't do much.
